Allegedly, an undercover cop was one of the bikers involved.

An off-duty undercover police detective was arrested late Tuesday after investigators said he was shown on video hitting and kicking an SUV when a biker rally spiraled into violence

The riders that slowed right down in front of the SUV started this whole fiasco. There was no reason to do that. They just decided to swarm and slow down the SUV for no real reason other than to be jerks.
It is pretty clear that when the SUV put on the brakes to not smash into the bikes that cut in less than 2ft in front SUV couldn't stop in time and bumped the bike they all surround the SUV and the driver like most would have felt really threatened.
At that point it was a simple hit and run.
The bikers should have just took the number down and talked in their stupid headsets don't worry we have 100% of the license # and witnesses, but no they decided we are going to go way beyond and took the law in their own hands and what happens afterwards was the result of their decision.
The bikers escalated the incident when they chased the SUV down surround it again tried to open the door.
The driver panics thinking what is with these freaks and runs over one of them to getaway. The bikers that had parked their bikes sideways in the same lane on a freeway?? That is madness they were out for revenge. Road Rage.

My favorite part of this video is how at the very end when the bikers start smashing in the windows of the SUV the fellow biker camera man conveniently stops recording.

Fleeing a scene because you feel like your safety is threatened isn't a "simple" hit and run.

I'd argue heavily against that. Nothing was simple about the situation, especially with what the police are saying that the video didn't pick up. The current story is that after Lien hit the biker he stopped, which we can see in the video. At that point several bikers dismounted and began to attack his vehicle (trying to smash window, slash tires etc.) and while unclear in the video, the police have obviously investigated and had several witnesses to talk to so it's probably likely that did happen.

At that point it wasn't a hit and run.

what i mean is it would hav been simple for the police to track down the SUV for hit and run with all the evidence the video and a 100 witness's, but no they had to exact revenge and went way way too far. Trying to be a bunch of tough guy morons.

And i bet when that video was submitted they would have also charged the 2 idiots for cutting in front slowing right down and causing the initial accident. It was reckless and in no way necessary.
The Bikers acted like a bunch of thugs right from the start of this entire display of stupidity. The driver is franticly heard honking his horn at these idiots get out of the way well before the initial accident.

what makes me laugh about those in life that act and think they are tough until they run into a calm real unassuming guy that calmly lets a confrontation diffuse itself but idiot tough guy won't let it then it becomes time for tough guy to be put in his place.

That's because people who act tough and pick fights haven't had the experience of true violence. People who have been in fights know they have serious repercussions and 99.9% of the time they aren't worth it.

So true.

I had a similar incident happen but with one car who brake checked me on the highway and came to a full stop so I would hit him. Then proceeded to rage and come try and fight me, I hit him once and broke his nose with a straight right. He'll never try and pull the car accident tough guy routine again. Funny thing was he is an amateur mma fighter. He was so mad after I broke his nose he punched the car winshield out of my ride instead of coming at me again and getting clocked.

Just me getting out of my car and staring them down is enough to scare them straight.

It is believed that 5 of the bikers were cops including one of the losers that starting beating the rear window.
I hope they lose their jobs for starters.

Wow, very little response in here about the allegation that 5 of these guys are cops. This is huge news, no?

Where do police officers rank on the list of most trusted professions, again?

It is news, just not shocking news.
