Yeah if you have a character with lots of money or you've put a lot of time into them, I'd avoid online
I only played maybe a couple hours so losing my character wasn't a big deal

My best tip for that kind of aiming is not to hold onto L1. Kind of like aiming when on foot just look towards the target to the best of your ability. Then spam by tapping in and out of L1 and firing, but don't hold it and try to aim manually... u will fail

Definitely do the story line before you do any more assassination missions.
I now have about $1,500,000,000 on each character. Time for a shopping (murder) spree (rampage)!

Alright I really gotta finally cave & get an XBox Live account. Not only does it sound like I'm really missing out with GTA Online, but I didn't realize the BAWSAQ ran totally from your Social account (so mine's been deactivated the whole game), meaning the assassination missions have no payout for me. Is every assassination mission involving a stock on BAWSAQ? Or is there any on the LCN? Done 3 so far and they've all been BAWSAQ stocks.

Oh I can do em, I just can't take advantage of the stock you're manipulating by assassinating the guys, because they're all BAWSAQ stocks. So what are supposed to be huge money making missions are just relatively easy missions with zero payoff for me.
...that and I can't train Chop. Poor little SOB, happiness level permanently set to 0.

Are you sure you're doing it right? The assassination missions are single player and only affect your stocks. It would be impossible to make huge money on stock if everyone was doing all this stuff you know?

Idk, I've just noticed throughout the entirety of my game, BAWSAQ has been down for maintenance. I was reading into it and read something about how the BAWSAQ combines all the accounts linked on the R* Social Club (or something). Just figured they were related, since I'm off-line.

You need to be online to access the BAWSAQ stocks, and some of the ones you that you can take advantage of with the assassination missions are on the BAWSAQ. So you're right Sainters, you will miss out on those without online
When you complete the missions your stocks are effected individually, just for that one short while. Normally all of the BAWSAQ is influenced by the GTA community and it's the same for everyone

I'm saving the assassination missions for the end so I can max out my earning potential. Kills me a little though, as the first mission combined with the stock manipulation was wildly fun in my eyes.
