Not a BF noob (hey I died first time jumping out a chopper cause I hit '9' for a parachute!!), just have more difficulty seeing with all the clutter and complex graphics, been that way for me even since BF2. Part of that is just knowing the map, knowing where people COULD be to know where to look.

Had the most points being on the rooftops with the rocket launcher and hitting tanks/choppers/etc.

Only played one round, but already the squad size change does seem to impact things, easier to stay in an area and harder to make sure you've cleared everyone out of an area.

I'm not sure SLI is working, I see both GPU's being used but one is going heavy and the other isn't doing much at all, 10% or so. Anything special that has to be done?

When I installed the new beta driver it disabled SLI in the NVidia options, maybe you need to re-enable it?

As well, I'm running the BF4 profile in NVidia Inspector while I play, that seems to help.

Yeah I re-enabled it after installing. It does actually use it, it hovers at about 10% rather than being completely off, which is what is weird.

Didn't think to look for a BF4 profile, I'll try that.

Man unlock progression seems so slow.

I assume too that all unlocks will be lost?

I hope it's only that slow for beta because it's down right brutal. You also assume correctly.

Yeah I can't play at a decent framerate either, drops into the 30's quite often and I get hesitations and stuff frequently.

Running nvidia inspector with the profile, and SLI is enabled, but doesn't seem to be using the 2nd card. Might play around with the SLI profile a bit I guess.

I have a bunch of CPers on Origin from the SimCity debacle, but if anyone wants to shoot dudes in BF4 with me, I'm HalogenTophat (don't ask) on Origin.

On a positive note, I am over the moon that tanking is fun again. I seriously haven't had this much fun in a vehicle since before BF2 came out (BF1942/BFV). So happy, already have 5 tank unlocks.

And photon, that sucks bro :< my cards generally run 60%/60% until some debris explodes, when they jump to 85%/85%. Still obviously unoptimized (BF3 runs at 98%/98%), but I can't for the life of me figure out why SLI isn't working for you. Lame.

My games don't seem to load - i join a server through Battlelog - the game fires up but sits on the loading screen forever. Then I can hear game sounds in the background but never progresses. Suggestions?

I had that at first, I rebooted and installed the latest beta nvidia drivers, not sure which did it for me.

Same thing happened to me. I rest set my internet and restarted the Xbox.

My first load took forever and had the sounds but no video. Killed the process and tried again. After about 5 minutes it loaded and crashed. 3rd time it finally loaded. Just like BF3 it just doesnt grab me. Too many games coming out (GTA, Batman, Deadpool) which im playing or will be. Be the first BF i'll skip. Sad.

I can't get it to a playable state. The new drivers from nvidia allow me to get past the loading screen but the frame rate is very poor and my key bindings don't seem to work.

I'm sure they'll fix it up before release - they have close to a month I think. I'll buy it - BF is just too good of a series to pass up.

The drivers are what ruins it for me. I run 314.22's because they seem to run everything else I play perfectly and I have no issues. However with the 314.22's BF4 does the black screen load and I cant get anywhere. Using the newest 331's I can play battlefield but I get desktop crashes and lockups all the time when not playing to game, Installing a new driver just to play a game and then switching back is not my idea of productive so im staying away from the beta until Nvidia gets things together.

From what I've read, the beta is a really old version of BF4 (pre-E3) so I would bet they've already optimized the game. I've heard that this "beta" is simply to stress test the servers.

I managed to exit a vehicle and become trapped in a concrete wall. Worst part, my squad started spawning on me and became trapped, we had to grenade ourselves to get out, rockets or grenades wouldn't blow it up from within.
