Good lord, Schultz is horrible defensively. The Nucks are just playing keepaway with him.

See the way this is phrased makes it sound like one of those nonsense media storylines they like to invent but it's getting pretty damned hard to argue. That is exactly what the on-ice product looks like.

As far as the Canucks, I have to say Santorelli looks like a really great depth pickup for them for league minimum salary. Great hands, good skater, really quite a good guy to have in the lineup.

Not just bad. He's lazy and bad.

Schultz is horrible, not just defensively, but in terms of his give-a-damn.

Me-First player out there.

Say what you will about Kesler, but Acton should've gotten the instigator on that one.

This year's oilers team looks like a group of pansies. Softer than last year if that's even possible.

Perron goes down more than a two-bit hooker with the fleet in

Seriously, after losing to Kesler for 30 straight seconds he just watched the rest of the play like a golfer after a swing.

Yep, won't be first to the puck, won't rag it out to spare a teammate, won't eat it along the boards and doesn't battle in the slightest for giveaway pucks.

Brutal level of selfishness out there.

I figure it won't be long before Schultz is converted to a winger.

Once again Healy says nothing whatsoever useful and I find myself wishing I could selectively mute individual commentators. Just garbage.

EDIT: Then screws up Filpulla's name in the highlight package.

How many times are we going to have this useless protest over the spinorama in the shootout? Every time someone does it the opposing bench raises hell about how it shouldn't count and he stopped etc etc etc and they NEVER get anywhere with it. Are these people stupid? Do they just not pay attention to what's going on elsewhere in the league? Such a waste of time and useless controversy. Until they change the rule it's a goal, deal with it.

Too many promises, too much pressure in Edmonton.

You can't go from one of the worst teams in the league to playoff bound over night.

Perron chooses not to stay on his feet. Always looking to draw a penalty.

It's actually hurting the team.

Oiler fans were too easy to crown Hall as the next Messier. He's not in that stratosphere in terms of effort, desire or pure hockey IQ.

I mean sure he looks good out there, but he kills a lot of plays dead and his backcheck is frankly atrocious.

The more I think about it the Oiler method of rebuild which is equivalent to buying hockey cards is looking bad. I know its early in the season, but if you can't play to impress a brand new coach, you have a big problem with team cohesion.
