really like what Jones is bringing to the table. Exactly the big body and RH forward the team needed. The Sven-Monahan-Jones combination is looking good too, good mix of skill and grit.

Attacking zone time is likely heavily in their favour as well.
Still some issues with forwards being too far from the defenders, but that's probably how Hartley wants it.
I see that bank passes off the boards is a big part of his coaching philosophy. Stretching the neutral zone out by wristing the puck low off the boards to a charging forward.
Going to get messy though when those are picked off and the puck transitions back.
Flames also attacking as a 4 man unit more now, seems like usually the dman on the wing closest to the bench side is pressing higher.

The defense still is not very good and had several breakdowns, but they are making up for the lack of talent with effort. Keep it going boys!

They play very different games. Tangs was great at what he did but for us at the moment, I think it was a good trade.
