Up close it looks nice and simple. From far away the grey on the sides really makes the red up the middle stand out in an elemental kind of way.
I think that looks really sharp.

Just turn it around. Berra's mask has The Abbotsford Heat logo on the other side.

I'm sure a lot of people didn't. And really, if a few people get to see it now that didn't see it before. Who cares?
I like Berra's. A little more quiet than most. Not crazy about the abbotsford side though.

Wonder if the two new goalie masks could be a hint at the new third jerseys.
Predominately red, white, and grey with very little black or yellow on the masks.
Black and Yellow are Flames colors but red and white are more traditional "Calgary" colors.
Especially if as rumored the jersey is meant as a homage to the City of Calgary.
Olympics, Stampeders, Centennials, Cowboys, etc all used a predominately red and white colour scheme.
Just a though but it would be similar to how Kipper's new mask that one season matched the 30th anniversary patch.

Kidds mask was ok, but I still dont like it because it brings back memories of Trevor Kidd playing goal for the Flames. Ugh.
Thought he was terrible (flopper, not athletic). Never understood why they played him instead of Tabaracci.
Anyways, back to topic...

Interesting point maybe the new Alternate Jerseys will be Red, White and Grey.
