Exactly. It's the old, "this isn't the way you're supposed to use our product, but if you do, we can't stop you."

Not everybody drinks for the purpose of getting completely smashed. And with respect to the solo cup; I do sometimes measure my pouring while I'm out camping. Often it's just me and the boys out for a camping trip. I don't want my son a nephew to have to carry me into the trailer; and I also would prefer to have one adult there with a level head in case of emergency. All it would take it one person getting burned by fire or something, and if there isn't somebody there to drive to the hospital......

However I do still enjoy sitting by the fire drinking a rye and Coke.

I agree with all of that and I like to measure my drinks too just so I can keep track of how much I've had. If it's more than 1 standard drink per hour, I won't even consider driving. My point was that I've never understood the Solo cup "hack" because a standard shot is 1.5 ounces.

I can't remember the last time I made hard shell tacos or even ate a hard shell taco.

Whatever. Following this rationale one-eyed Pete would never have gotten his nickname, he'd be just two-eyed Pete. Well. Just 'Pete' I guess. Lame.

Hospital? The beauty of alcohol is that it's also a first aid kit.

I'm confused too. Who is this level headed sober camper? Does he prevent my friends from getting blackout drunk and dancing on their cars casing several dents in the roof? (I wish I was smart enough to make up that scenario)

I love paradoxes. Jumbo Shrimp, Bittersweet, Sober Camping, Wise Fool.

Good fun.

The one I can vouch for is the cupcake one. I started doing this a few years ago when the cupcake with 6" of way to sweet icing was the in thing. I put the bottom on the top and it made it bearable.
Still I usually take 5 of the 6 inches off when anyone gives me a crave cupcake.

Separating a yolk in an egg is really easy with just a spoon... or using the 2 egg shell halves. I can't imagine that using a bottle like that is actually easier, faster, or cleaner.

Same with cutting cherry tomatoes. Dirtying 2 tupperware lids seems like a waste of time. One cutting board and one knife... then chop or slice.

Yeah, lots of these are just shortcuts that save you time on one end and add time later. Learning basic culinary skills may take some effort and time investment initially, but will save you lots of time in the long run.
