They gotta be ignorant of what's actually in the game and don't realize how bad it could be, that's the only reasonable explanation.

Oh I'm not stuck. I see that yellow circle. I just don't want to do it. Enjoying the crime sprees. The driving etc is so much better than it was in GTA IV that it's actually fun to drive around looking for liquor stores to rob.

Oh okay, I was just stuck there, and I kept going to the back door (heh) instead of the front.

I actually liked the driving in 4 more than I do in 5.

So there's no real indication on a lot of missions, you just have to over hear conversations.
Like giving some one a ride?

The opening sequence with the robbery was pretty spectacular. I'm not a big fan of the aiming system with the right stick. Is there anyway to brighten the aiming point, its next to impossible to see.
I got up to the mission where I had to go after the banker. I got out of it thanks to blowing up fuel tanks and turning gang bangers into mush.
I had trouble with the drive bye shooting on the biker mission. It says on the Xbox that its the left button. I kept pressing it and nothing much happened. So I rammed the biker and then backed my car over his corpse to be sure. Then I got screwed over by Lamar. I hate lamar.
Went to the strip club and blew a bunch of money on a lap dance got two strippers to maximum like but they wouldn't go home with me. I have to admit that the frontal nudity was interesting and creepy at the same time.
So far it looks like a great game. I'm going to finish the next repo mission, then just go on an exploration drive. I'm assuming that the green question marks on the map are the non story line things that you are talking about, like giving people rids and getting their wallets back etc?

Yes, check out settings --> display. You can adjust the dot so it's flanked by a line on either side. Makes it much easier to see.

Yup, this is a must, especially if you're playing on free aim.
On a side note, I got curious by how many references to Trevor possibly being Canadian have happened throughout the story, so I Google'd er and learned that not only is Trevor's voice actor (Steven Ogg) Canadian, but he's actually a Calgarian. Just when I didn't think I could like that crazy SOB any more than I already did, here he are.
EDIT: Along with switching it to the "Complex" target reticule for free aim ease, I'd also recommend turning down the targeting sensitivity a couple notches as well.

Yeah, the free aim was really frustrating last night. I know you 20 year old kids with your rock and roll music have impeccable hand eye coordination on a x-box controller, but us older generations have the shakes.

Don't know how you guys can use free aim on a console. On a PC with mouse and keyboard it's a no brainer, but with a clunky controller it's so much easier to have assisted targeting and just keep snapping the target button after each kill
And back to the flight controls, while I stand by my statement that airplanes are very easy to control, holy hell are the helicopter controls ever putrid. Whoever signed off on those wobbly ass controls should be fired, it's no fun at all. I got gold on every other flying mission without too much trouble, but the two heli missions are staying silver because there's no way I'm putting myself through the frustration of trying to get gold on them. It's like you're flying drunk every time you get into a heli

The funny thing about the heli's is, after replaying IV to get ready for V all the way up to launch day, I think in V they're actually easier than they were in IV. So while I find it tricky, it's not bothering me a lot, as its much better than what I was dealing with up to last week.
I keep it on free aim because I find its just too easy otherwise. I didn't like in IV how you can just click back & forth between auto targets, I think it takes the challenge out of it too much. I will admit to turning it to at least assisted aim for the rampages though. No way you could get through that on free aim, the way they aggressively charge and flank you now.
...on that note, I love the new AI. On the HUD, you can see the police strategy in trying to form a tight perimeter and flank maneuver. Multiple police cruisers in high speed chases seem to work together too, as opposed to previous editions, where they'd all just individually try to bash you off the road. I don't play a lot of shooters / driving games so I don't know how this AI compares to other games. But its definitely much improved from previous GTA's.

Choppers just seem so wobbly. They are a bit forgiving too, you can brush up against a building and not blow up right away.

I've noticed that too, the cops are a lot smarter. I've noticed a lot of times if one gets in front of me he'll slow down and one behind me with ram me, and together they'll block me in
Once I was cornered behind Simeons shop and they'll surround the area, covering both alleys

I still can't figure out how to get a plane to try flying. I'm still on the mission
Could that be why I can't get into the airport?

Yeah, later on you'll get missions that actually involve flying, find a smaller flight strip, and you'll also unlock the flight instructor.
I think you can still get into the airport and grab a small jet but you'll have cops after you.

Have you done the first flying mission with Trevor? The flight school unlocks after that mission.

Flying is tricky. It took me numerous attempts to land the plane on that mission.
