We got him for Sarich, it's really not that big of a deal. He's just a big body that can protect our new goalies.

Ouch, listening to Glen Sather talk about Stepan's contract impass.... doesn't sound like that's going to be fixed any time soon. Sather basically called him an idiot if he doesn't accept the Rangers' offer.

He is terrible but is a tough guy and won't be soft while protecting the front of our net ala #4 from last year.

After some of the contracts Sather has signed players to, he has no business calling out a player for wanting 500k more than what he is offering.

This is why he was terrible — I think he must think he's Bobby Orr. He gets out of position by attempting very stupid plays that are way above his head. Based on what I saw I really would have preferred another year of Sarich... and that's coming from me, who was positive about the trade at the time.

I love how aggressive the Flames are being on the forecheck, sending two guys in hard. The pressure caused a turnover and created a scoring chance. Hope to see more of that this season.
