Leafs sign Mason Raymond (1yr, $1mil)
Andrew Walker @FAN590Walker 6m Mason Raymond has signed a contract with #Leafs
Chris Johnston @reporterchris 16s Mason Raymond has signed a one-year deal with the #leafs, per agent J.P. Barry.
Either Franson is gone or Leafs will have to dump salary to get him under contract

Was bound to happen. He's a quality 2nd tier scoring winger who has insane speed. I'm surprised nobody else wanted him.

Good for him. I usually don't hope for success of anyone wearing that jersey but in his case I hope he has a nice season.

Leaves $1.2mil cap space for the Leafs to get Franson under contract barring any trades or demotions.

Definitely think something is up with The flames and leafs. We got the cap space and they need it and Burke knows their system better than anyone.

I would. Something like Liles, Colborne, and a 2nd for Smith and Nemisz sounds more likely. Not unlike the Regehr trade.

At what cost? I can't see TO wanting any roster player off the Flames. At the very least it would be a 2nd +. Not sure what the "+" would be? but more than a "meh" prospect.
