Must just be a Touchwiz thing, I'm not too familiar with Touchwiz overall. In pure Android it's just a functional list of Apps that's sorted alphabetically which lets you keep the Apps you don't use in there, then you can apply them on your home screens as you wish.

The few times I've used Touchwiz I've found it too bloated and too ugly but I know on the S4 it added some cool camera features. Was it Samsung that added the SlowMo feature in the Spring or was that HTC One with Sense?

As far as I know they both have SlowMo. I'm not a fan of Touchwiz either. Sense is better, but stock Android is still the best choice. Samsung and HTC (and Sony and LG, etc) are fortunate that Google gave them a solid OS to put on their phones. I have no faith that they'd be able to do it themselves.

Decided to find my own answer. Looks like the gold iPhone 5S sold like delicious hot cakes in China. Apparently the gold 5S is some kind of status symbol there, which in China, is a big deal. The other phones fell pretty flat, especially the 5C. Not enough of a price drop and no one cared about the colours.

Maybe they should just drop 50 million gold 5S's into Beijing.

You have no friggin' idea how important appearances are in Asia. It's insane here in Taiwan and Taiwan is the chilled-out version of China. Not to mention the slavish brand-loyalty that exists.

I mean, I am an Apple fan, I have more apple products than anyone needs, but there are people - hordes of people - who are convinced that Apple is the greatest company to every company in the history of the world.

The promos for the Steve Jobs movie are crazy, I can't imagine how fast gold iPhone 5s's would sell out here ... minutes? Seconds online?

A word of caution for anyone that gets special discounts from Rogers. Ask for Rogers to ship you the phones and not reserve them at a nearby store. We received notifications that my wife's 5C was shipped and ready to be picked up at the Beacon Hill Rogers representative and when she went to pick it up they wouldn't give her the phone because they said that her $40/month plan was not iphone eligible and there was no way Rogers would give anyone that plan and a new iphone. They basically sent her home and it was a little embaressing for her going to pick up a new phone and being sent home. I was on the phone with the girl in the store giving her the reference number to check as this was all set up specifically for a 5S ($60/month) and 5C ($40/month) and she said she could see the plans it just wasn't possible for either plan to be iphone eligible. I had to call Rogers this morning where they appologized and shipped us out two phones directly to us today. Seems the representatives may be out of the loop for discounted plans.

According to the article it sounds like Apple should have made the 5C in gold. The unfortunate poplularity of gold means that we are going to see gold phones from competitors in the coming months.
