I know we have extremists living in Calgary.

Some comments I have overheard are sickening.

And these comments were made among non-muslims so I can only guess the dialogue that is spoken around their brethren.

You have to feel for the victims here though, and as far away as it seems, it's a lot closer to home. Canadian casualties as well as talk of some the terrorists being Canadian and American.

It's part of the reason I quit taking the c-train to and from work on a regular basis. Crowded trains that make a lot of stops and you can't get out and no security. Scary.

My Aunt and Uncle lived in Nairobi for years and very close to this mall where my Aunt frequented often. They just moved to Germany 3 weeks ago. My Aunt is just a wee but shaken by all this as she fears she may know many of the people involved.

Crazy incident for sure.

Also read that Israel is involved now, and the mall is at least partially owned by Israelis.

Apparently, security experts had identified this mall as a high value target, partly because it is owned by Isrealis. There are going to be some difficult questions asked to the Kenyan Security apparatus

What these idiots don't understand, or don't want to acknowledge, is that the vast majority of Muslims will NEVER side with them. Seriously, I applaud the Christians who even after these atrocities against their community still differentiate between regular Muslims and these terrorists. Kenya Foreign Minister Amina Mohamed told PBS said a British woman was among the militants and she had “done this many times before.”

Lewthwaite, 29, a Muslim convert who is already wanted in Kenya on terror charges, has been labelled the “white widow” because of her marriage to Lindsay, who blew up a London Underground train at King’s Cross in 2005, killing 26 people.
