As someone who works in Corrections. We see these jokers all the time (the frequency of their visits is increasing).
All of their arguments against the state having authority over them disappear as soon as they put on their red clothes and realize they will not be leaving for a long time...

As someone who works in tax, whatever card they show you as proof that they are 'tax exempt' is absolute BS.
I cant even count how many of these idiots I've tossed out of my office.
"I dont have to pay tax, I just have to file my returns so I can keep collecting EI you ignorant basterd!!!!"

Sometimes violence is the best solution.
I'm amazed that the cops sat back and said its a civil affair. Its pretty obvious that its either fraud or at the very least squatting.
The fact that he was able to get a lien is shameful.
I agree with the idea of turning off all of the utilities and then dumping human excrement and vicious pitbulls through the window.
I put Freeman on the same level of the moronoscale as Occupyers.
Maybe this guy can share a cell with pedo defender Ben Christenson or whatever his name is.

If these guys had any moral argument to stand on, it's gone in the garbage. They look like a bunch of freeloading thieves who are a pox on our society.

A few years ago I took a welding class and there were 3 of these guys in it. They lived in the county more or less off the grid.
What's funny is the class was at a technical school that is very inexpensive due to government subsidies.
Every once in a while one of them would go into a rant and the poor teacher would just cringe.
And they were trying to recruit women, that's for sure. The class was mostly female so it was pretty funny.

Did these girls work at night as semi strippers in a tasteful artistic club where drunk men were satisfied with girls that didn't take anything off but were really good dancers?

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/...ticle14460820/
The renter, Andreas Pirelli, had recently moved to Calgary from Montreal and was a self-described handyman. She says he agreed to “spruce up” the property in return for three months of free rent.
“He walks me to the door and he’s yelling at me, ‘I’m a Freemen-on-the-Land,’ ” Caverhill says.
“I said: ‘This is my house, not yours.’ He said: ‘No. This is an embassy house now and it’s mine and you have no rights’, so then he slams the door.”
She says she discovered the locks had been changed and pounded on the door.
“I said: ‘How come the key doesn’t work?’ He said: ‘I changed the locks.’ He said: ‘It’s not your home.’ ”
A 2011 FBI report cites several cases where followers have clashed with law enforcement, including the 2010 shootings of two Arkansas officers during a routine traffic stop. It warns the movement is likely to grow, fuelled by the recent economic downturn and the popularity of seminars being held across the country.
“They may refer to themselves as ‘constitutionalists’ or ‘freemen,’ which is not necessarily a connection to a specific group, but, rather, an indication that they are free from government control,” the report says. “They follow their own set of laws.”
But a Freemen-on-the-Land member in B.C. told The Canadian Press earlier this month that violence is not advocated and has no place in the movement.
Caverhill has already served Pirelli with one eviction notice, but he hasn’t left.

Yep and we wore leg warmers in the welding booth
Seriously though, they cancelled the class just as we were about to learn acetylene. We did plasma and arc, and it was amazing how rewarding it was. Except for the bright red V on my neck oops...

Do you report them to the CRA as possible tax evaders? Can someone do that?

Too bad we don't have some real nastiness on this board. Someone should reach out to him for a massive kitchen renovation, even if he asks for a deposit. Then get close to him tell him that your a freeman on the land and get him to do the work under the table to allow him to avoid paying taxes to the "man".
When he finishes the work, tell him that under the terms of admirality law you can create currency and pay him with a rock. then take the money that was saved and give it to that little old lady.
If he raises a stink tell him that you'll report him to the CRA for being willing to work under the table.

You guys are gonna get sued for copyright and trademark infringement and trespass to personal property for using the name of the PERSON and the company's name without authorization, claim of right, or fees and schedules.

Make sure to include his name too, because I'm sure this scumbag Andreas Pirelli will just close down that company, and start a new one. There's already some really weird freeman language on his website.
On another note...you really gotta feel sorry for this woman, but in this rental market, you shouldn't have to rely on bartering to get someone into your rental unit. Put it up on Kijiji, and you'll have 50 amazing applicants to filter from. Calgary is a landlords dream scenario right now.

What a piece of garbage to do that to a property owner. Another reason not to bother having a rental property. The aggravation is just not worth it for me anyways.

Honourable intent but a bad idea. He can then lien your property as an unpaid contractor and you will have to spend a lot of time and money to get it off your title. If the house is mortgaged, your lender will also get involved in a mess.

Not knowing much about the "Freeman" movement, are they able to charge you under the laws that you choose to be goverened by? So if someone were to say steal a certain value of tools from this schmo, sell them and give the money to a landlord who is out some cash. What is the freeman's course of action in a situation like that?
Just wondering.

This is what I don't get about Freeman, If they don't want to be part of the country then don't use any services provided by that country.
Philisophically I like the idea of being able to opt out of society. Citizenship should be a choice, a contract that you willfully enter into. Otherwise the governments only athority exists based on its ability to enforce its power through Police, Propaganda, and Military. I would perfer to think of a country of an area where a group of people have decided to follow a set of social norms for the greater good.
However Freeman think that they can opt out of any obligation to the government while still recieving all of the benefits.
