I liked the fact that Deb was going to be his last "kill". I'm glad she didn't make it out alive, as it kills the spin off rumours of having her own show.
I would have been happier if he retired with Hannah, or died. The fact that he just relocates to start a new live cheapens the whole season, cheapens Debs death, cheapens anything that happened with Harrison, and is a real punch in the dick to anyone who stuck with the show this long. Maybe I'll have a different opinion tomorrow.

I dont mind the ending. If that is how it ended after a very solid season i think it would have been satisfying.
Season 4 is one of my alltime favourite seasons of TV. Seasons one and 2 were great. But 6/7/8 just kept going downhill. I think they could have saved it if they had deb find dex at the end of season 5. But it seemed from that point on they didnt have a plan.

Well that sucked. Who wrote this crap? Nothing that happened tonight really made any sense. Complete and total garbage of a season and the finalie. Absolutely dreadful.
Could probably name 100 things wrong with the episode, but why bother when everyone knows it was a total mess.

One of the worst series finales I can ever remember, what a disgrace for at one time was one of the best shows on TV. The whole season building to Dexter escaping and living happily ever after with Hannah was crap, but I still would have preferred that over this steaming pile
Well at least it's over now, I can finally forget about the series completely (which seems to be what the writers wanted) and free up another hour on Sundays for something better

So disappointing.
A show with probably 4-5 great seasons of material spread out with a bunch of filler to last 8 seasons. I'm still not sure if the bad negates the good. But ugh.

One last thing. What the hell was the point of Matsuka's daughter? They bring in this new character for the final season with seemingly no reason, but I figured there had to be some kind of payoff at the end. But no, after all she's just a completely pointless character eating up quite a bit of screen time in the series final season. Jesus the writers for this show must have completely given up at the end of last year

^ Tits. That's the only reason they brought her in. Or because they needed pointless filler material for some of the episodes.

That has to be the worst hospital security in the world.
There's a citywide manhunt for a murderer, and he's able to walk right in the front door because people were distracted by another guy who needed medical attention. It's a hospital, everyone shouldn't be that distracted by one injured guy.
Then, later, I know they were distracted by the hurricane, but you'd still think someone would question the guy in street clothes rolling a patient out of the hospital.
The logging camp ending seemed especially tacked on. With the way they're alway portrayed on tv and in the movies, I assume that every logging camp is full of either superheroes just trying to blend in and not cause trouble, or murderers just trying to blend in and not cause trouble.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot, how the hell did Young Indiana Jones get on the bus without Hannah noticing? There was no back door behind them that would have allowed him to sneak up behind her. He would have had to boarded through the front door and walked down the aisle towards her. There's no reason he should have been able to take her by surprise.

What a nightmare this show became compared to the early seasons (1 and 4 especially).
This whole season was a cluster####.
And now my favourite dumb moment from the show:

They kinda backed themselves into a corner. It would have been tough to make this episode anything worth a damn.

They did back themselves into the corner.
I think the whole point was that Dexter couldn't really be anymore than he was and that his dark passenger was him.
Argentina this or that, he was never going, never meant for a child and didn't know how to deal with his sister on an emotional level. It was his fantasy to be a normal people and have normal feelings and when he finally did he was crushed.
That's the best benefit of the doubt I can give it. It was a crap season, with crap writing and they could've totally done so many exciting things which is the killer part. Why not have him institutionalized with hannibal lecter beside him. He always deserved to hang with some smart killers. Then in prison have his brain electrified and then have him escape and be at a wood camp with wolverine.
Anyways, the show went to Argentina.

I see the point in unplugging Deb but throwing her in the ocean was stupid. First of all that's where he deposits all the scumbags, murders, etc. Why not let her have a proper funeral? Second of all she is probably going to float up on a beach somewhere all bloated.
New show coming this fall.

Well after reading the last few pages i honestly don't have any desire to watch this series. It seems like it pulled a Heroes, but it had more than one great season.

Heroes was a terrible show. One or two decent performances and a hot chick don't make a good show. It was laughably bad from the episodes I saw.
