Clarkson's going to get 10 for that. Kessel deserves to get a couple games for the two-handed slashes as well. Though if nothing else, at least he didn't just turtle.

I hate what Scott did but I don't think it's suspendable. However Kessel's pair of wild 2 handers and attempted spear at the end should see both him and Clarkson suspended.

10 for Clarkson is an easy call but I think Kessel deserves 5 for his actions.

Scott went old school there. That could easily have been Semenko on Reinhart or Loob 30 years ago.

The heat this will build between the team will sell tickets. Not much different than a alex burrows hair pull or bite, which arent suspended either.

Now, had he got ahold of kessel... Different story

As much as I hate to say it, I doubt there will be many teams more entertaining to watch this season than the Leafs.

I actually hope they do well.

I may be goingout on a limb here, but i think that NFL highlights will be the lead story on espn...

Honestly, the league is going to use Clarkson's ten-gamer as an excuse to let Kessel off the hook. Two games is fair, imo, but is two more than Shanahan will have the courage to give him.

Kessel shouldn't fight Scott of course. Scott tries to go at Kessel, teammate steps in, and away they go. No two handers or spears necessary.

Is there a difference between the initial slash and the spear at 2:08? The heat of the moment was over at that point.

As much as i dislike the leafs, the spear was probably worth a penalty, bu not a suspendable effort. Slash #1 is a penalty, slash #2 ... Fine at most. More likely just a penalty.
