10 game suspension, nice way for Clarkson to start his career in Toronto. I'm not sure what he accomplished by jumping on the ice either.
Does anyone know if a player who gets suspended has his salary count against the salary cap? Believe so but if not, Clarkson just bought Nonis more time.
Dude when it comes to the Canucks, it could be a team of Adolf Hitler, Pol Pot, Augusto Pinochet, Josef Stalin and Kim Jong Il and if one of them scores against the Canucks you take it.

Clarkson's going to get 10 for that. Kessel deserves to get a couple games for the two-handed slashes as well. Though if nothing else, at least he didn't just turtle.

The salary continues to count against the cap.

I hate what Scott did but I don't think it's suspendable. However Kessel's pair of wild 2 handers and attempted spear at the end should see both him and Clarkson suspended.
10 for Clarkson is an easy call but I think Kessel deserves 5 for his actions.

I'll be surprised if Kessel gets over 2 games. Unwritten rules bla bla bla
Honestly, the league is going to use Clarkson's ten-gamer as an excuse to let Kessel off the hook. Two games is fair, imo, but is two more than Shanahan will have the courage to give him.
I don't know. What is Kessel supposed to do? Fight Scott?
Yeah, the slashes and spears were unnecessary, but Scott deserved them.
Is there a difference between the initial slash and the spear at 2:08? The heat of the moment was over at that point.
As much as i dislike the leafs, the spear was probably worth a penalty, bu not a suspendable effort. Slash #1 is a penalty, slash #2 ... Fine at most. More likely just a penalty.
