Big difference comparing an iphone to S3 and an ipad. S3 are bigger but not that much bigger than the iphone.
But bigger is definitely better. Don't think I could go to a Note but the S3/4 is a good size. Fits comfortably in the palm of my hand and doesn't feel ridiculous in the jean's pocket. I am a bigger guy and hated the slim form of the iphone. Felt a little to dainty having to hold it with my finger tips and sticking my pinky out all the time.
Don't worry, you won't have much choice soon. Next release of the iphone will be wider/bigger than the past variants. And the 5 is ridiculously light.
Yes titanium is better which makes it lighter but in now way can you tell me that plastic feels better than glass.
Plastic will never have a higher end feel than glass. I don't put my phone in a case yet (I probably will once my future baby starts to use it). Again why I said the nexus 4 intrigues me because it isn't made of plastic and have that cheap feel.
Check out an HTC One. It has a feel as premium as an iPhone, if not more. I replaced my iPhone 4 with it and don't regret it for a second. Fantastic screen that doesn't have the oversaturated look of the Samsung Galaxy's.
After looking and debating, I'm upgrading my 4S to the 5S. Galaxy almost won me over, but in the end the Apple ecosystem keeps me coming back.
I think phone technology is peaking and there is not really much you can do outside of incremental updates anyway, so I think software will be the difference moving forward.

I'm surprised anybody would think that. Phones are always going to improve and every few years there will be a leap forward. A five-year old phone is a paperweight. In five years all of our current phones will be paper weights relative to where the technology will be.
Yeah and Apple had colour mp3 players long before Nokia had colour phones lol. It's kind of silly to say "we had colours first". All of today's smartphones borrow from the original iphone.
