I couldn't stand watching the post-race show for more than five minutes but I tuned in for the end and Montgomery's "special announcement". No surprise that the announcement was that CTV has ordered a second season.
He didn't give any other details except that the audition process will start sometime this fall. Presumably, it will air again next summer. It would be nice if they actually left the country next time.

Teams should know already to take notes on the pit stops and the people greeting them.
Maybe they wouldn't have caught on at the first pit stop, but at the second, they should have noticed the flowers, and taken notes the rest of the way.
No excuse for two teams to have not noticed them, and if either of them had noticed and taken notes, they would have won the prize.

man I would have killed it, I know all the flags and a few flowers, I watch enough curling :P
There should be a license plate challenge too, I know all of those!
Also, I thought you couldn't just drop your bags and run like that. Bags have to be with you.
Pretty cool show for a first attempt. They'll just switch it around next time. Instead of going to Vancouver-Calgary-Regina, they'll just go to Victoria-Edmonton-Saskatoon. They need to do some travel by bus instead of all planes.
And of course they'll go to Winnipeg, home of the Tims and maybe Thunder Bay. There's also Ottawa and Montreal they missed this season.

I was wondering how the sisters caught up to the brothers for second and third place.
It showed the brothers completing the final task and then getting into a cab, and at that point I believe the sisters only had 1/10 of the flags and flowers right.
Didn't like the Caramilk challenge and what a waste of perfectly good chocolate bars! I hope they salvaged them somehow.

My guess is the sisters just decided to leave since they knew it was the last challenge

Or, once the Tims were checked in, the Producers just told both the other teams to go.
They said the ferry ran every half hour and the Tims arrived at the terminal 10 minutes prior to departure. The brothers could have been 12 minutes behind the Tims and the sisters could have been 25 minutes behind the brothers, and they both would have ended up on the same ferry.

Also they totally missed NB and PEI. I thought they would have done something with PEI and Anne of Green Gables.

I think they can be dropped where they can be seen from the finish line.

They didn't seem like great challenges for a finale. It seemed like it was set up for the drama of a scenario where anybody could win. No skill challenges, and there was very little ability for any team to separate themselves from the pack except through luck.
Happy to hear it has been renewed for a second season at least.

Are Canadians able to participate in the US Amazing Race?
If so, Jet and Dave better be in the next one - we laughed so much watching them race, was a nice change to the typical crying and giving up most teams do.

That was a good prize to win some legs, since, well, you know.

Tims deserved the victory for sure. You know that the memory challenge is coming in the last leg. You know that it relates to everywhere you've been. You've been warned.
I couldn't believe those sisters lasted as long as they did. That one younger sister really rubbed me the wrong way. She was so unsupportive of her older sister and effing dumb.

They started at Niagara Falls. They flew through Ottawa on the way to/from Iqaluit, but didn't leave the airport.

This actually came up earlier on this race, when the girls dropped their bags where they couldn't be seen, and had to go back for them. (Sand Dunes in Yukon)

Oh yeah, that's right, I don't know why I was thinking Ottawa, bad memory.
