Installing now. Just started raining too, I hope it snows for the next week so I don't feel like a bum when I only venture outside for work in the coming days.

Well crap I couldn't wait so I decided if I found it while shopping I'd get it.
Got the ps3 version since my 360 is dead and it has terrible texture pop-in.
And no fix I can see yet.

I bought a copy off the shelf at Future Shop and it had the blimp code.
It's every bit as fun as I had hoped. It's going to be tough finding time to play though.

The fix is not installing the Play disc. I haven't noticed any pop in on my 360.

Just bashed into the airport runways with my car whilst blasting Radio Ga Ga by Queen, then with three stars due to this I charged my way to the nearest plane. I got into it and with some learning (right and left bumper to turn with the plane) I'm air born.
Because of all of this, this is now my favourite game of all time.
All we hear is, radio ga ga. Someone, still, loves you.

Well, I gave in to the hype and bought this game.
I was actually playing a bit of GTA IV since I bought it on a steam sale a ways back. I thought about playing through it first, since it is always hard to go back and play older games after playing the newer generation. But I was having real trouble being excited for GTA IV. I simply sucked at driving, the city was all brown and boring, and I still hadn't found a decent radio station.
Anywho, GTA V has a real different feel. A real sandbox game, where there are new and exciting places to explore, vehicles to drive, ways to kill people, etc. Definitely brings me back to the sense of wonder playing San Andreas all those years ago (9...holy crap).
What's awesome about being this early into the game (I started free roaming as soon as it let me), is you can discover all these cool little places, and just start imaging the type of hijinks that will ensue when a mission takes you there. Highlight for me so far was watching cop cars drive straight off the mountain in pursuit of me as I rolled down the hill.

God damn Rockstar games put that loud scary Cougar roar into the game from Red Dead Redemption! I was going on a nice hike up to where the Gondola is and I heard that noise and immediately pooped my pants as I had been trained to do from hours of hunting in Red Dead. I tried to protect my horse as quickly as possible.
Thankfully my horse was a pick up truck and I had a high powered rifle... and murdered that Cougar.

It's crazy how big the game feels. I went roaming for two hours and didn't feel like I came close to seeing all of the map. Probably not even half. It's also crazy how you leave this massive city and enter the desert and you actually get lost and it feels like you're in the middle of nowhere.
Insane.

That's the 360 version, I have the PS3 version, you can't not install it and there is only one disc. The disc is in the PS3 when playing, it does the same 8GB install the 360 does. After playing some the pop-in seems to have subsided somewhat.
The game can get choppy too, the PS3 version seems to have slightly more frame rate problems than the 360 version, but both can dip below 30 quite a bit.

Still game is lots of fun so far, controls are like a revelation compared to previous GTA games!! So much to do.
But asking me to drive, while focused on the subject, AND aim and shoot a tiny guy? Cmon... had to do that mission a couple of times and I think I just randomly lucked out.
PC version can't come soon enough, this is fun till then.

GTA 4 had a lot of that if I recall correctly. It takes some getting used to but kinda fun in a chaotic sort of way.
Love switching between characters too.

Yeah I think that (can't aim while driving at breakneck speed on a twisty highway and dodging cars in a mobile viewpoint) combined with the infrequent checkpoints (so now I have to do a huge chunk of mission again so I can get to the point I have a low probability of doing) was what helped me stop playing the game before I finished it.
Keyboard/Mouse PLEASE

Best thing that has happened for me so far? In the airport the cops are chasing me, cop turns onto runway as a 747 is landing, car and plane explode.
