All right "Joborule", time to spill the beans. At least give us a hint, like its not going to look like something Ronald McDonald would wear.

Either way, we'll know for sure in a week. Even if the Flames don't announce it, EA always has a "blanked out" jersey for any jerseys that are coming but haven't been revealed yet. So if there is a new third, we'll have a blank space. At least that will confirm if one is coming or not, this silence is annoying.

I just don't get how a flag designed by the National Hurricane Center or a logo designed by the Canadian Armed Forces is different than a logo that could pay tribute to Calgary Firefighters. But whatever you want to justify it with, go crazy.
How did I forget about this thread over the weekend, such argumentative gold.

So using your logic, here's Edmonton's latest patch

Actually, based on my logic, it could be the same shape, an oil rig in the middle, and "EOH" or "EDM" instead of "CAODC"

You saying a logo with Edmonton's initials over an oil rig is a bad thing?

That's awkward.

Just to confirm, EA NHL 14 does have a blanked out slot for a Flames alternate jersey.

Weird that we haven't heard anything officially from the Flames...

Is the retro gone completely? Or do they still have that as a "12-13 Alternate" jersey?

It's still an active alternate.

Should this thread now be addressed to Mr. Burke?

I think jersey design would still fall under KK's role. I would think it classifies as marketing.

They were waiting for Buffalo to release theirs so we can say "Well, at least they're not the worst in the league".

i ordered a blank retro jersey a while ago and rebook finally got some stock!!

here's what i whipped up this afternoon - i think it looks sweet.... just adding the red to the c on the front. i'll be wearing this today at the young stars tourney in penticton... maybe i can just happen to bump into some of the flames brass

The longer this goes without a leak, the more I think it's the one KK personally mothballed a few years back, after getting full league approvals.

Also, maybe it's not going to be used until later in the season, thus not going to be released before the season starts.

Also, not sure if the same rules apply as they have in the past (probably not, after two new CBA's since the Flames released the ones they did 10 years ago this year), but the Flames get full profits the first month of them released, before the jersey sales get lumped in with the rest of the NHL merchandise sales, so there's some timing strategy there.
