Judging by NHL 14 goalie gear colour scheme for the flames, I really think these are the colours they're going with.

These are terrible. The definition of uninspired.

With the regular season a little over 2 weeks away, why haven't we heard even an inkling of an official word about the new jersey from the Flames? Is it possible it might not be introduced until mid-season?

Very possible, Columbus had a very late jersey release 2 years ago I believe, and the Islanders 3rds were late releases as well if I remember correctly.

I like that shoulder patch that was created with the silhouette of the Calgary Tower inside the Flame

American teams have done it around US Thanksgiving to capatilize on getting a lot of sales around the busy shopping season.

Again, this being a Flames alternate 3rd jersey, which they will wear 8-10 times at most, no rush to get it out before the season. It'd be pretty unique in this day and age to skate out on the ice for the game wearing them, with no leaks beforehand (similar to the 1994 Stamps when debuting the original black 3rd jersey on Labour Day, even most players didn't know...see the link) if they can keep the press and insiders and even players quiet that long.

Seeing how they use a red and white jersey already, my guess is a yellow or black jersey as the third jersey. I would have to think that the black will be the one chosen.

That shoulder patch is the only good part of that jersey, otherwise it might as well be a SLIGHT tweak on the current retros. Boring. How about you shove an interesting idea in everyone's face?

Who said Boston jerseys? That kind of style would be excellent.

Well i'd be surprised if the NHL 14 color scheme used colors that aren't already Flames colors, which all of those are.

Yet other than the awful Bear jersey and the decent secondary black one, the Bruins jerseys have seen little to no changes in all their history...hmmmm

Take it for what its worth but I heard from someone who works for the Flames that the new third will be released end of october at a big event with all the players. It is apparently red (not yellow, thank god) but is word mark and has CALGARY written on an angle...

When I asked why they wouldn't make the retros the full time home and away I was told that the Flames tried to do that but the league shut them down for some reason..(that doesn't make sense to me though)

Again take it for what its worth, this is a rumour thread after all...

Those are so nice, I would buy one right now!

Something to wear to church, date-night or other places where I need to dress up a bit.

I reversed the white and black. To me, this combines the best of the retro jerseys and the 2004 Cup run jerseys. Its sleek and simple. The away jersey would be a nice looking jersey as well.
