Lineup to be announced still. MacDonald and Brossoit the leftover goalies.

Other players possibly playing:

Hmmm, I'm more interested in seeing the other line-up honestly. Most of these guys we have a pretty good idea what we're going to see. The other game has a lot more question marks.

Looking at the list the main thing I would want to see is Ferland and Granlund on a line. If they can carry forward some chemistry from their previous outting then that would look good on both of them. Maybe throw Hudler or Stempniak on the RW to balance out the line?

Pat Steinberg@Fan960Steinberg3m
Projected #Flames lines tonight in Calgary: Glencross-Galiardi-Stempniak; Byron-Street-Jackman; Elson-Granlund-Gordon; Bouma-Horak-McKelvie

Pat Steinberg@Fan960Steinberg2m
Looks like Olson-Nemisz-Eddy is the extra line tonight. Projected #Flames pairings: Wideman-Smith; Billins-Giordano; Russell-Ramage

Pat Steinberg@Fan960Steinberg4m
MacDonald looks like he'll get the start. Brossoit to dress as the back up. Not sure how things will look vs. NYI in Regina yet. #Flames

This will be my first viewing of Billins. Gio should be a solid partner for him; give him a chance to shine offensively.

Ouch Nemisz already healthy scratch in the preseason.. Looks like there was good reason he was so far down our list on the prospect voting..

Again, putting Granlund with weak(er) line mates. Hopefully Elson works his butt off to at least drive the offensive zone. Gordon struggled at times in Penticton, so we'll see there..

It will be interesting to get a better read on Billins, Bouma (was good in edm), Russel and Ramage too.

Edit: Hold on, where's Ferland? Why would they be scratching a guy who's actually got a chance at the line up, esp with cuts tomorrow?

Someone said that Ferland was hurt. Not sure if this is 100% true?

He practiced with the injured/maintenance group on Monday.

Got tickets for this a while ago. Really regretting doing so now looking at the lineups. Hopefully Granlund can do something.

^ Yeah, the coaching staff kind of screwed us over for our money tonight. I'm a little disappointed. But then in terms of vets, we do get to see how Galliardi looks centering an NHL line. Also, we get to see what Russel is all about. But I'm with you there, just hoping that Granlund can show us some magic. He's almost worth the price alone for me.

Yeah the brass is really not giving Granlund anyone to work with this preseason. It's like the staff wants him to be in the AHL. So much for letting him earn it. He pretty much has to earn it by himself. They gave him 1 shift without McGratten last game and he had 2 scoring chances on it. He looked awesome with Ferland in Penticton and yet they won't reunite them although it looks now like Ferland may be hurt. It would be nice to see him on a line with Sven or Stemps or Glencross or Cammy or even on wing with Backlund.

Yikes that is an ugly lineup for the CGY half tonight.

Yeah, I'm pissed that they're holding Granlund down so far. If he were actually put alongside some talent, he'd probably look like a shoe-in for a roster spot.

Cammalleri, Hudler, Ferland all didn't play in the scrimmage on Sunday, and aren't in the lineup tonight. I wonder when we'll start getting injury updates?

Elson was one of their better guys at dev camp and one of their better players in Penticton. Perhaps this is more of a reward for Turner (for his recovery from his injury) in that he gets to play with Granlund?
