I talked to my Club seats Rep... he said it would be a 15% charge when they introduce it
But possibly going to be delayed

I feel for some of the old people who share tickets, but it would only take a friend a very short amount of time to sort them out for the rest of the season if they couldn't do it. A slight hassle no doubt, but considering the convenience of paperless tickets, as well as how slick the interface is for assigning tickets to others, I think the benefits hugely outway any problems a small minority of people may have.

Agreed, the ability to create "sub accounts" to share a season is perfect

Yes, confirmed it puts the face value (without tax or club fees though)
It's at least better than the low price that used to be on the tickets
Especially if you're trying to trade for a different game

I don't mind these cards for tickets at all, but damn that glue is like super glue! I've soaked and scrapped most of the "gunk" off but the back of the card is still as sticky as ever! Any tips to clean it good?!

That’s crazy. Every bank I have ever dealt with uses the same adhesive as Visa and Mastercard. It’s not exactly a deep dark secret.
Honestly, the Flames’ brain trust has one of the worst cases of ‘Not Invented Here’ syndrome I’ve ever seen.

I ended up trying handsoap and water. That got some of it off. Then I rubbed the card on my knee for 10 to 20 seconds and I managed to transfer most of the goop onto my leg hair. I figure by the end of hockey season I'll have had enough showers to get most of it out.

It sounds strange but I just use the sticky side of a small strip of Scotch tape and pat at it several times while removing the tape relatively quickly...

From my point of view these cards are already a pain. Either I print off the entire season (defeating any convenience of the new technology); or I carry two more cards in my wallet, give one to whomever I am taking to the game, and remember to get it back at the end of the game; or I scan both cards at the door and hope my guest remembers where the seats are, doesn't need re-entry, etc.
No need to mention the "low-endness" of PDF copies.

Or before each game or when you know whom you are taking to the game, you take 1min and email them a ticket, and you just carry one card all year.

First game of the year tonight, first chance to use the card. Does anyone know how this is going to work. Do I have to show up at the game, find an ATM, insert my card, creat a password and it will print me a ticket instead of money? Will I have to do that each game?
Or maybe I have to take my card to a Flames fanatic before hand show the card and they give me a ticket? If that's the case, does anyone know if the fanatics at dome will do this, or do I need to go to a mall location before hand?
Do I need to validate my card at the C-train station before hand?
I'm pretty concerned on how to get into the dome with this "card" they sent, not sure if I can pull it off, any help would be appreciated.

You'd think, but after reading this thread I became aware that the Flames have apparently created the most client unfriendly system ever with these cards, so I assume it must be really intrusive and complicated.

I scanned the barcodes of my cards into my iPhone, if the scanners at the dome can read them, it will be very convenient. One drawback is if I message the barcode, I would be giving access for the entire season. I trust the people I take to the game, so its not a big concern.

Update on my experience.
So turns out you can just give your card to the usher, he scans it and let you in. Sounds simple right? You'd think, but I only just got in.
Problem was, I went to grab my card from my wallet, only the glue they used got stuck to my finger and I couldn't get it off. No big deal right, you could just use your finger to flash the card to the usher and he scans it? Problem was, it actually got trapped between two of my fingers, no way for the usher to scan. Took over an hour and 4 Flames staff members to pry them a part and scan the card.
Finally in the building for the 3rd. But oh the woes of not actual physical tickets!

The usher could not read the scanned barcode on my phone, nor the picture of the card (which was almost identical in size). After staring awkwardly at each other for a few seconds, I pulled out the physical cards.
She did say that three or four people had images on their phones and it worked. She recommended turning down the brightness on the screen. I also have a protective case which may be the problem.

I ma not a fan of this system, today you can't get into the flames account site to manage tickets and there is nobody at the saddledome, the Flames should have sent out an email before the tickets were sent in July and ask each person what they wanted, totally inconvenient, completely sucks

I just logged into my STH account and sent tickets to a friend. The system is working fine for me right now.

From home I tried to send tickets using Internet Explorer but it wouldn't work. Switched to Google Chrome and had no issues. Maybe try switching browsers?
