@Kristin_Hallett: Contractor Appreciation Night in the Dome. 2500+ people worked 24/7 to make tonight possible. They're in green wrist bands. Shake some hands

Serious question, should I expect the dome to smell a little tonight? Don't mind if it does, but I'm wondering how they've done with the damp smell.

Since we are splitting hairs.
The Oilers will be dressing 4 NHL defensemen, likely 3,4,7 and 8. Though Larsen played in the 7 hole in Dallas last year. The other 2 are both cabable AHL defensemen. Are the flames dressing thier top 6? No.
I don't know the lines, but the Flames first line won't put up the points the Oilers second line will, assuming its Perron, Eberle and Gagner. The Oilers 4th line you speak of would be Gordon, Jones and Eager. Gordon is slotted as our 3C and Jones and Eager are question marks but both can play in the NHL.
Unless the Flames prospects are mostly NHL ready, which I doubt - I don't see how this doesn't seem like a pretty even match-up.

Yes, any team can beat any other team. But that's not the same as "a wash", which implies there's no discernible difference. I wouldn't have to "split hairs" if you knew the meaning of what you write.

A wash doesn't mean there are no discernible differences. It refers to variables that cancel each other out. The view must be nice on your high horse.

When you're a perennial cellar-dweller, any view looks like it's coming from high on a horse.

I asked a co-worker who attended the Eagles concert on Thursday the same question and they said that they did not notice any "off" smell in the Dome. They were in the lower bowl and in the Avison Young area and said nothing stood out.
The herion beer didn't change either apparently.

So there is no way to watch this game online this evening eh? Would much prefer watch this one over the game in Edmonton.
Mark Lewis alone (PA announcer in Edmonton) is enough of a total turn-off, let alone the fact the game is in Edmonton.

His point was too make a joke about how painfully awfull your team has been over the past half decade. Thought his first post would have made that obvious.

In Oiler country, 24th overall is not the cellar - it's a pretty good season

There will probably be Oiler fans in the building, so they might make it smell a little off.
I went to the Eagles concert on Wednesday, and there was only one weird smell in the Dome, but it's the same weird smell you get at every concert.
The replacement seats are a slightly different shape than the old ones, but other than that, there was no significant difference that I noticed.
Watching the game day videos on the Flames website, the dressing room looks exactly the same and it was completely destroyed. Other than the lowest seats, the public areas of the building were untouched by the water.
