I actually think it might be the white that really puts it off. Really, the problem here is the brightness of the colours you're using. If you go with a brighter yellow, you HAVE to rock a darker red or add in some black. If you darken up the yellow, then you have a bit of play. Some of the mockups with just red and yellow look horrid, mostly because the yellow and the red are too saturated together.

My quick mock up in paint. The C would of course have to be the deeper red as well but I think something like this could work.

Are the yellow jerseys actually happening or is it a prediction?

Someone on this thread said he knows someone that works for EA sports and that guy said they are yellow. He also said that his friend is a Nucks fan and might be pulling his leg.

Oh GEEZ

I thought the EA guy was confirmed?

Or I guess he's confirmed at EA, but not confirmed to be telling the truth

Icethics stating that just because EA locks a spot doesn't necessarily mean a jersey is coming. Flames have still not announced anything at all.

"In fairness, NHL 14 is also showing that the Wild are swapping their home and alternate jerseys for this season. I have it direct from the team that this is not the case. Which is why I've said repeatedly I don't trust video games as a source of information. If they can't be 100% accurate, I'm not interested."

sorry guys - i should have said that i was just playing around with the yellow jersey idea

if you want to play around with the colours on existing jerseys (that what i did... this is a new jersey jersey with new colours) go here:

http://www.athleticknit.com/products.asp?cat=144

on the right hand side of the page is the 'online customizer' where you can play around with the colours on the jerseys

Sadly, the worst part of those is the wordmark across the front instead of the logo.

I know that this puts me into the minority, but I could live with a yellow jersey as long as it is done properly. Do I trust the Flames to do it properly? Probably not.

Yellow is one of the club's trim colours, after all. Red is and should always be the primary home colour, and obviously white on the road. Black has had its day, both as a Flames third jersey and in the sports world in general. For a jersey that they're only going to wear a few times a season, I don't see a problem with doing something a little different.

If the jersey was already in NHL 14, it wouldn't be hard to find, no?

I don't think EA has a clue.

Actually EA does a pretty good job of keeping jerseys hidden. Sean Ramjagsingh (lead producer of the NHL series) has said one cool part of the job is getting to see jerseys earlier than anyone else, so if the Flames do come out with this jersey, which I think they will, EA has seen them and does know about them. I am a little skeptical of this guy on here who claims to have a friend who works for EA. Not saying it isn't true, but who knows if he posted that to stir the pot a bit.

I don't think EA would let the cat out of the bag

They have a lot to gain by keeping that stuff under wraps, so their games are as current as possible

Didn't they accidentally leak all the new jerseys one year?

Yeah the code got leaked a few weeks early (for '09? I think it was 09). They've been substantially more careful with it since.
