Ferland JUST misses his hat trick goal on a deke in front of the net.

Final score 6-3 Flames.

Goal scorers were Ferland (2), Davies, Hanowski, Monahan and Baertschi

Rob Kerr could really take lessons from whoever is calling this game tonight. Proves you don't have to be so "over the top" with your play calls to call a good game.

If it's this tournament that was going to determine whether Culkin will turn pro this season or not, I'm not so sure he earned it.

Sieloff reminded me a bit of Phaneuf on the PP. He was hungry for the one timer. It's good to see that confidence.

With Ferlands new found confidence, improved foot speed, and by showing up to camp determined and in great shape he may just force himself onto the team.

Great to see him re-focus and push on after what was clearly a hard season for him last year.

Nice to see a player not fold under the criticism and work hard to make it back though. Good sign.

Fun meaningless game. Good to see the prospect maintain some professionalism when the much older Dino's players were acting like rec league goofs.

Or he could take a page from Peter Maher.

Also nice to see some toughness coming up through the ranks. There is a nicely balanced talent pool the Flames can draw from now. Feaster and Weisbrod really have done a nice job.

Now we just have to be patient for a couple of years. But the pool will be pretty deep at the start of 15/16 if this is any indication.

Can't wait for the season to start... It's exciting that several guys have a real shot to push for a spot.

Not really fair expectations... I know that's what Feaster wanted, but he looked like he was 7th on the Abby depth chart. Junior will benefit him more with a leading role and lots of ice time.

Based on the game tonight...no one is even close to being a solid NHL player. That was def some ugly hockey tonight overall.

Really liked Ferlands game. He stood out the most by far, and also from what I saw in the Penticton highlights. I hope he makes a good showing at main camp. It would be nice to see a guy like him come from nowhere to make the team.

I'm no bc-chris, but I was lucky enough to be right by the Flames bench (eventually).

He was leaking on the bench most of the 2nd and 3rd period.

This was my first time at WinSport (I think my first time at COP since it was still called Paskapoo), and that is a really nice facility. I like all the Team Canada banners hanging up.

The Ferland-Granlund combo is really clicking right now. I thought Sven looked better tonight lining up with Max than he did in the Penticton games. I really like Sieloff's mean streak. He just wants to hit anyone who comes near him wearing the other team's jersey.
