Those Ghost Hunter & UFO Hunter shows are pretty awful. I had the TV on in the background one day and The UFO one was on. It was pretty funny because no matter where they were 'investigating' UFO sightings, they were always looking around them in their nightvision goggles thinking an alien is going to pop out any moment. Running around like a bunch of idiots at every sound. It blows my mind that people actually buy into that crap.

When I think of bad TV shows, I immediately think of the TLC network, which at one time stood for the LEarning Channel and they had interesting programs on - now, they offer up most crappy reality shows like Honey Boo Boo, Dance Moms, shows about little people etc........otehrwise, so many bad TV shows out there, it is hard to figure out where to start......

It seems like an 80/90s TV show that should have been featured or 5 episodes and then cancelled. Everything about is awful. The laugh track. The writing. The acting.
This show honestly makes me feel like I'm living in a parrallel reality where people are crazy but they don't realize it. Not only has this show been renewed for more seasons, but it's winning Emmy awards.

Pretty much how I feel, and it is amazing how the bad acting is accomplished by pretty much everyone, not just one or 2 people.
There are two shows my wife watches that I hate: Grey's Anatomy and So You Think You Can Dance. Both those show's target audiences are teenage girls and it really shows.
I'm going to stick up for SYTYCD. There's some annoying things (especially when they have someone like Carly Ray Jepson on as the celebrity judge... yeah, that's 100% pandering to teenage girls), but I also think there's a level of artistry that's beyond any other performance reality TV show.
For worst TV show I have watched, I'd probably say Leno. Just insufferable. I don't think it's the worst show on TV, I'd assume that all the real housewives shows, jersey shore, kardashians etc. are worse, but I have literally not watched a minute of any of those shows.
Also, I'd say that Ancient Aliens is one of the worst shows out there, but it's actually gotten into the "so bad it's good" category for me.

Any singing competition show, at times when they were actually trying to be serious. I enjoyed watching the bad singers on American Idol. The quality of the vast majority of the "finalists" was really quite terrible. Countless times I've seen them give tickets to people that couldn't even remotely hold a tune.
Except Superstar USA, that was a good show - except they weaseled out at the end.

As a not-so-closet Friends fan, I am not surprised to see the hate for it in here. But, while I will admit it was generally pretty bland without a lot of risks involved (arent all sitcoms?), I don't see how it could be counted as worse than pretty much every single piece of crap reality show to come out over the last few years. Storage Wars, Pawn Stars, etc... At least Friends involves some creativity write/create. TLC just seems to think every single mundane job on the planet is worthy of a TV show. I'm sorry but theyre just not.
And for the few mentions of How I Met Your Mother. It has probably outstayed its welcome, but the inter-connected writing and references to other events in the show that effect future story lines probably make the most well written prime-time sitcom since the Friends/Seinfeld/Fraser days.
My point? While these sitcoms might not be to everyones taste, I would say just from the pure creativity involved to create them and have them last as long as they have/did makes them miles ahead of anything the funtioning ######s over at Jersey Shore can come up with.
