it is 3rd game in 4 nights and they have led in scoring and wins to this point so I don't think its as doom and gloom as some seem to be portraying it. Last game wasn't as great as the first but they did still get the W and they did spot 4 goals. Granlund/Kanzig/Porier they all have looked good and even though Monahan hasn't blown away he still has a couple of goals. Plus Ramage/Seiloff/Wotherspoon add to an exciting defense group that is coming up now.

To be fair it looks as though the ice is poo. And SJ seem to be clogging up the passing lanes fairly well. Granlund keeps standing out. Not dominant but definitely in the right places consistently. The more I see of Ramage the more I think he's a career NHL er.

Are we just playing far worse this game, or is it that San Jose is bringing a better quality of opposition?

I've noticed they're playing a really solid team game and reading each other really well.

Did not expect us to get trampled in terms of play like this after two. So.. will Ward FINALLY put our top guys together?... I've only been waiting all week. (/summer)

the thing I don't understand is in the late game on Friday they had two zambonis going to let the ice set up better. During the Conroy interview I only saw one going.

I think San Jose just has better focus for whatever reason.

Maybe they've been teaching systems a bit and it's making players slightly uncertain.

After seeing how much Kazig has jumped into the rush this tourney I would be very surprised if his offensive totals don't take a big jump this season.
