I'm excited for what the future can bring. It's only a good thing that both our GM and Hockey Ops guy both have rings. All parties involved seem to be on the same page. And I love how Burke threw out that as a neutral observer, he thought the Flames had the best draft. Never before have I heard that.
If fans and ownership and willing to show patience, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Flames come out ahead of the Oilers during this rebuild. But time will tell...

Hahaha.
King said his role isn't changing, but "bean dude" is going to do a lot of the day-to-day stuff that is required for the Flames. I imagine that will free King up to concentrate on the other franchises and the new arena (maybe in conjunction with a new stadium for the Stamps).
