Lot of melodrama in this thread.

Personally, while I think it may not be the best jersey around, I really like this league-wide trend of going for a cleaner look and minimizing the stripes and piping.

Still love that logo though.

How they could take a great logo and color scheme, and come up with that abomination is mind blowing.

You looking at a different picture? There's hideous piping all over that thing, not to mention massive blocks of mismatched colors.

So....when are the Sabres moving to Nashville?

I can't help but feel the Sabres are trying to appeal to football fans on some level. Even the infamous buffaslug jerseys had what I would consider to be a very "football" looking cut/colouring too them.

I find most NFL/CFL jerseys to be a rather fugly mismatch of colours/panels, and yet I know they sell a ton of em. So it's not unreasonable for a hockey team in a football town to see NFL jerseys all around town and think "hmm, maybe we should get in on that action."

The only piping i see is on the numbers and across the top of the arm (which I admit looks weird). But overall, no bottom stripes and 3-color piping like you see on a lot of older Jerseys.

I like yellow jerseys.

But the silver is totally out of place here.

Man I wish I was inside the room as the reactions to this jersey came in.

"Wow, boss people are really talking about our new jersey. We're trending on twitter."

"Really, what are they saying?"

"It's not important."

I think we need somebody to do a thorough investigation on how these managed to get designed and then approved, I think it'd be fascinating to see behind the scenes here.

Omg what a ####ing atrocity this thing is.

I've defended this team for a lot. I even bought a slug jersey. But this thing is hideous. After retiring that awesome royal blue 40th anniversary jersey.

I'm embarrassed.

Fail.

Front is different color than the back... that's just dumb.

I'm not sure exactly but I think it's banned in Russia.

Weird silver piping under the arms, random mismatched grey cuffs, random mismatched numbering, absolutely bizarre collar, the list goes on.

Sure, no bottom stripes, but somehow removing bottom stripes makes you look past the wide array of hideous aspects of that thing?

Maybe it was part of a "Make a Wish" thing for a kid to design the sabres jersey and they allowed it... That's about the only reason to have something like this

Ha, they deleted and re-posted the reveal on Facebook to get rid of negative comments. It worked about as well as you might expect it would.

That jersey is as annoying as the player wearing it.
