Phew. If the Stamps would have been buried by a Medicine Hat product I would have killed myself.

Bad decision by Reilly. No need for that throw. Perfect coverage by Smith there
Stamps hold on, barely.

Win or lose, the worst part about this is that TSN/Cuthbert and Suitor have a 5 year renewal on talking about "no lead is safe" when 98% of the time, they are.

This lead was safe. Needed a 30 point lead, but it was safe

Ho hum. Another Esks loss. 3 or 30, who really cares.
Props to Reilly for taking what the Stamps gave him.
Also, atrociouis defense on two straight kickoffs, allowing 2 onside kick recoveries. No idea what they thought a team, with no clue or no direction, 23 then 16 down, would do.
A whole bunch of huffing and puffing and sound bytes for TSN, for not in the end. Esks still aren't a very good football team and the lipstick they put on this pig is just going to smarten up the Stamps for Friday and going forward.

Even though Stampeders won, i am still PO'ed on how it even came close. Fumbled, secondary's play (Randle, Fraser, Hefney to name a few), Special Team's brain fart almost cost us a game.
On the other hand, i have to give the Game Ball to the DLine and LBs for pressuring and punishing QB Mike Reilly all game.

Does Reilly get labeled as a choke artist yet? So many late drives to win... So many losses

Dont you have to have a lead and lose or be favored heavily and lose to be considered a "choker"?
I have nothing but respect for Reilly considering the beating he takes and he never ever quits on his team.

Frustrating to watch. But realistically, this was probably the best case possible: a win that also comes with a strong reality check, that they had a lot of mental mistakes today, and if they play that way every week, it's going to turn into losses.

No running game, a pourous O-line, and receivers who have trouble holding onto the ball. Reilly is the only reason this game was even close (well him and the fact that the Stamps stopped playing).

I agree with having respect to a guy who never quits. How many times did he hit the turf today? That doesn't matter because the guy keeps getting up and keep on ticking. Edmonton would be stupid enough not to protect Mike Reilly for Ottawa's expansion draft. I think he'll be a good one if he stays healthy and not become The second coming of Buck Pierce.

That's true, I guess choker is the wrong word. He's a good QB and could be a great one, but at some point he needs to start putting up some wins when he has the opportunity to do so

Stamps looked like they thought it was over and just slept their way thru the 4th quarter. Those fumbles really cost them, and terrible special teams play did as well - why is it that every other punt/kick return has a penalty called, either for holding or blocking from behind?
It goes on week after week and nothing seems to change. I thought they got rid of Craig Dickenson for the same kind of thing, and if it hadn't been for the 2nd half kickoff being essentially given to the Stamps by a complete mental breakdown, they would have not just been beaten on the teams but utterly dominated.
Lastly, Price better learn that you RUN into the endzone and then do your taunting. Or, even better, don't do any taunting at all and act like a professional and not a hotdogging clown.
