Looking at the rankings, this match is critically important for Raonic. If he wins, he passes Gasquet to move back into the top 10, and would move to 9th if Wawrinka also loses in the 4th round. Raonic isn't defending too many points after this (2nd and 3rd round last year at the final two 1000s) and with Tsonga's injury, has an outside chance of being top-eight for the Tour Final.
If he loses here, he's probably gotta pull off a semi/final/win one or both of the 1000s to have a chance.
