Sort by most thanked

Just wondering if there is a sort by most thanked feature that could be added or is available.

The "Feaster on Fan 960" type threads usually have a summary of what he said that can get buried in other discussion and it would probably be near the top if we could sort by thanked.

It would also be cool to be able to see the best posts in each thread by sorting it that way.

It would require a bit of work to change the UI to get that info from the database and change what's displayed. Probably not complicated, but it's not built in.

I'm looking at a product called XenForo as a replacement for vBulletin, I really don't like v5 of vBulletin at all, there might be something like that for XenForo, stuff like thanks seems to be built right into it.

I'm not sure if turning CP into Reddit would be a good idea. Most "Thanks" tend to go to "best joke" more than "long-winded but spot-on analysis of the topic".

Ideally it'd be a system like /. with random anonymous moderation and metamoderation, and a system to keep track of good moderators. That's what I'd want to write if I had a ton of free time anyway.

I've gotten a plethora of "Thanks" for either one. A good take gets just as many thanks as a great long post.

Also there are a lot of poplularity "thanks" handed out as well as thanks given out just for opposing less than popular members in discussions.

I would actually be interested in a sort by most thanks option. I don't think it would turn into Reddit because the way I imagine it is that the sort by thanks in only an option. Therefore we could all view CP normally and scroll through to find analysis but could also have the option of sorting by most thanks which could also be useful. Like trying to find the funniest stuff in the picture and video thread for example.

We've had thanks for how many years now, I really doubt a sort-by add on for the feature would change a darn thing.

It would be interesting to see a 'most ignored' list. I have one person on ignore. I wonder how many other people have the same person. And I want to know how many of you a-holes have me on ignore.
