What about the wages though? Tevez and Navas together earn far more money than Bale by himself, never mind the other nine players in your team. I've never understood why people put together teams like this to try to prove a point. I could put a team of players who have all gone somewhere on free transfers this season, but that hardly means that they are "free". You need to look at wages as well.

Do you understand what I mean about the wages though? The team you posted is not roughly equivalent to Gareth Bale in terms of cost, which I think is what you were getting at. They have to play the players in addition to paying a fee to buy them.

A bit off-topic, but how do any of you watch Spanish league matches? It was great up until last summer when Gol TV dropped their coverage and started showing German matches instead. I used to love the late kick-offs, now we only get to see Barcelona and Real Madrid when they play in Europe.

Yeah, pretty poor form. If Madrid hadn't blown their load so early, it'd be done already. Now there are rumours that CR7 isn't happy about being relegated to second most expensive player in the world, and as such Madrid have dropped their bid to 90M Euros.
