That really depends on what part of the city you live in. You could spend 45 minutes getting across town.

I'm pretty central. I'm in Killarney.

How is Sibbald Lake? We are just about to head out there for this weekend. I've never been but it looks really good. No kids, just a handful of us getting out of the city for the weekend.

You're probably there already, but it's pretty good. The tents only campsite is much nicer than the RV side, that's for sure.

For those of you with motorhomes and small children. How do you deal with carseats? The motorhomes I've looked at only have lapbelts. I've read online anywhere from, "the kids don't need to be belted in" to "they drive a separate vehicle with the kids because the motorhome isn't safe for kids".

Most car seats have 'Lap belt only' installation instructions I thought.

Every car seat we have had can be attached with either a lap belt or the in seat hooks.

Just a reminder, that if you go on the reserve Alberta site today, you can probably score a decent site for the long weekend close by. I am finding that if you go in 4 days before the long weekends, and just keep refreshing, stuff pops up throughout the day because today is the cut off for when you forfeit your fees for a no show.
I scored a couple spots at Bow Valley for me and a buddy this weekend.

Yeah, I don't even bother booking in advance anymore. I just refresh for a couple hours on the Monday or Tuesday before I want to go, and take the first spot in I get in the Kananaskis region. I have scored a spot every long weekend this year.
It makes it kinda fun, as you don't know exactly where you are going to end up. Keeps it fresh.

I just ditched 2 spots at Bow Valley as 2 spots came up at Boulton Creek. Get em while you can.

If you right click and go to properties; you will see he hotlinked to a site that doesn't allow hotlinking.

Does Mclean how power back? Last time I was out there they were refunding money because the flood took out the power.

Oh crap, didn't even notice that - thanks for the heads up.
Looks like the power is still out and no sani-dump on site either.

That is crappy. I think there is a fill and dump station on the way that you could use. I'm going with the take the trailer out a few days early method and hope for the best

There is a dump station at the info area; just before you hit Gooseberry. Not sure if it was also affected by the flooding, but I doubt it as the river is a good 100 feet below the dump area.

Who cares if there is no power. If you have a 3 way fridge, a dozen bundles or birch and a full bottle of propane your fine.
I offloaded two serviced sites in Bow Valley, for two unserviced sites in Boulton Creek.

The joys of having a dump station where you store your trailer!

Sani Dump at Maclean is open and has been for a while now just no water for flushing the poop hose. Flush with grey water and hope for the best!
