Ongoing Minor Trades Thread
Seeing how this league seems to struggle with posting trades, I was thinking that if we had an ongoing thread intended for all the "non-blockbuster" deals perhaps it would make it easier to announce deals. No need to big write-ups...just the details. Good idea or waste of time?

Flames bought the rights to UFA Andy McDonald from the NJD for a 4th and a 5th.
Horrible contract this year but should go down by a mill or 2 for next year.

Devils send Brendan Gallagher, #32 and #60 to the Penguins for Matthew Carle.
We needed a solid defensive guy and think him and Keith will be a solid top pair.

Goffie has learned. This past year I had only 4 Habs in my lineup and we still sucked. So might as well bring them all over cause nothing else works.

UFA rights to Kevin Bieska have been shipped to Dallas in exchange for Zach Budish and Micheal Chaput.

Toronto acquires forward Lee Stempniak and a 2015 4th round draft pick from Chicago for college prospects Riley Barber and Trevor van Riemsdyk as well as a 2014 2nd round draft pick.
We wanted a winger that could play in our top six and we are happy to find one prior to the UFA bidding phase. Stempniak had a good NHL season with the Flames and we hope that he can build on that. Letting van Riemsdyk and especially Barber go was tough, as we believe that both are legitimate prospects, but are a few years away from being NHL calibre players.
