yyc woman wants to be first to do what?! :)
Hi everyone,
I was the first Canadian woman to run marathons at the South Pole and the North Pole. So what's my next goal?
I want to be the first Canadian woman to run an ultra-marathon (250 km over 7 days) through each of the Four Deserts! (Sahara, Gobi, Atacama, Antarctica) No Canadian woman has ever finished this series, so I want to be the first!
A company called Genuine Health is looking to sponsor one Canadian's athletic dream. They are holding an online vote. There are about 10 finalists from across Canada in this voting contest. I am the only Calgarian on the list. If I can get the most votes by August 31, the company will sponsor my runs!

As an alternative jihad for those who do not approve of self-promotion among first time posters, may I suggest a hijack of Rock The Rog?
The Canucks will be picking the 20 finalists this weekend, the winner gets to sing the anthems a capella. If there's anyone truly terrible in that 20, I think we should try to help them torture 20, 000 Canucks fans for a couple of minutes.
