I finally got off the waiting list and have been offered seats. When I log in I am given section 215.
Does anyone know if I can call the ticket office and see if anything else is available or do I have to take these and re locate next year?
Is it true that one section over pays much less for their tickets?

Thanks in advance....I have until Thursday to respond.

I tried calling them last week when I was offered and they aren't able to move my offer. They said it was due to fairness to others on the list. I took what I was offered and will relocate next year.

Section 216 will pay less and depending on the row is can be significant. If you are in row 18 or higher those in the same row in section 216 are paying approx $1250 less.

I was on the aisle of 202 before, so the people 5 feet to my right in 201 were paying almost double what I was paying. So in the same situation as you.

There were a couple of Tuesday night Wild games where we moved over in the 3rd period, and the difference was significant. For the most part you lose the ailse obstuction; as that is a major ailse going up to the 300s. But you still have the easy access for beer, food and washrooms.

The only thing I think about that section is the geometry is slightly skewed. So the aisle seats in 215 are actually just as bad as being in 216 for human obstructions. I don't recall the exact seating arrangement as I only sat there once, but I think you need to be at least 2 seats over to get away from that. You might be OK being up as high as row 20; I can't say for sure.

It's too bad you can't just go down and look for yourself.

My experience - your first opportunity, you kinda get what they offer. You can try calling and see, but don't expect much. They pretty much assume that people on the list will take anything, just to get tickets - and they're usually right.

I had to wait 3 years before being "allowed" to move sections, but that might be a restriction only on the PL stuff. So who knows what happens to you next year.

I wouldn't worry much about what other sections pay. You can always check the Flames seating chart to get a rough idea of how much tickets cost. Basically, it's Gold->Silver->Red->White->Orange->Green->Black rows 1-3->Black in order of decreasing cost - someone is sure to correct me if I'm wrong here.

I think we're looking at another couple of years worth of sucking before Flames season tickets become something you have much choice about. You either get in when you can, or don't have them. The movement this year was bigger than in a decade, but still... they're not exactly desperate to sell and there's always another guy below you on the list who will take them.

I got my whites in 11-12, and we were allowed to move after the first year.

The 3 year restriction is on the PL level seats. They pretty much offered up season tickets to anyone on the waitlist to the PL level. Without the 3 years restriction, you can basically suck it up for a year in PL and then move down -- an easy way to circumvent the waitlist. The 3 year no mvmt is effectively the amount of time you need to wait in the hot house.
