As awesome as that would be I can't see the Flames brass going for that.
Every person there with Catholic/Christian ties would lose their mind. Great song of a great album though.
Please get Wolfmother the hell off the PP too. It has gotten old and the Canucks were using too at time last year and I want nothing to do with anything that connects us to them.

I don't have a suggestion for the main goal song but they should change it to Chelsea Dagger whenever Vancouver is in town. On the Jumbotron they could play a clip from the video of the Vancouver players listening to it.
Maybe start a petition to have all NHL teams do this.

does the goal song HAVE to reference fire/burning/flames/heat, etc? it's much more about how catchy and fun the theme is to hear. the Blackhawks score goals to a song about a stripper, they didn't search high and low for a song about General Custer's last stand or whatever.

I for one appreciate real pop-punk. Does not include the emo/screamo bands of today, but Patrick Stump and his guys do have some talent, regardless of what their perceieved demographic is. At least I can adapt to some newer groups, unlike these 30+ year old "manly men" still thinking they're so badass, stuck on their played-to-death ACDC tracks, Metallica, and ####tty Nickelback for a "new age" preference.
Sleep Now in the Fire does remain my first choice, however. But I can see them going with friendly for all ages choice, and for that FOB is ideal.
Sleep now in the Fire could work with some editing.
0:00 -> 0:17
then skip straight to:
1:02 -> 1:17
If the crowd could figure it out, and chant HEY!! HEY!! Could be pretty awesome. I love how the rangers fans have that crazy chant after they score, the energy gets jacked up!

This. No idea why we need to be so on the nose with something to do with fire when our last goal song was about an aging Jewish songstress. I would cast my vote for something that infuriates the opposition a la Chelsea Dagger. Something like this.
