I loved how everything Walt had done from the start is for his family and at the end of this episode Hank says " F*** Family!".

And I can't wait for Badger's Star Trek episode to air!

Someone already animated it.

Safe to say Spock is the Kobayashi of the Star Trek crew. Makes you wonder if Vince Gillian would have any interest in directing the next Star Trek movie...

If the Netflix model is in fact the way of the future, there's no way that its long before there's advertising involved. Commercials have tapped every other market. Even being subscription based, I can't see it being immune.

Also as pointed out, being subscription based, stretching out a series a few months would definitely benefit them.

Yeah and watch Netflix subscriptions shoot to $200/mo to support production of quality shows like Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Sopranos, etc. if the proposed model of VOD was followed.

I am glad there is Netflix, but under that Breaking Bad wouldn't see the light of day until it was a proven commodity.

The quality of House of Cards was cinema like. Right up there with any other high quality cable show.

And their subscriptions can probably cover a couple of Netflix produced shows like House of Cards, Orange is the Black, Arrested Development but I am not sure how they can go very far beyond that without raising their rates to bring in more talent. It's like the Canadian brain-drain debate. But I am only arguing that Netflix isn't the be all, end all thing like some people are suggesting for content and distribution.

I don't think anyone suggested that.

Wouldn't Hank have to answer, professionally, for placing a tracer on Walt's car? I don't think he has divulged this lead to anyone else at the office, and even though he's pretty high up the food chain at this point I can't imagine he has the authority to go rogue like this.

I can see Walt/Hank straddling this precarious "Crystal Cold War" line until it culminates somewhere in the final 2-3 episodes.

In fact, Hank was explicitly told not to continue pursuing this case specifically. His new position is supposed to be more "big picture" stuff.

It's definitely personal for him though.

could go a lot of different ways

doesn't need to necessarily be that

the only person seen so far in the flash forwards is Walt

Presuming Hank hadn't been checking on it. He did place it there at some point, so he has definitely visited without Walt's knowledge and could have been by multiple times to download the gps data.

It had only been a day or two, no?

Besides maybe a trip to see Jesse I don't think Hank got much off the GPS, Walt hasn't been up to much Meth-business.

Hank really doesn't have a lot on Walt at the moment outside of the book and that sketch which certainly isn't conclusive. Unless he finds more definitive evidence or someone comes forward and rats him out he's going to get himself into more hot water for persuing the case.

The trip to Jesse would be enough to get Walt in serious trouble, considering Jesse's frame of mind, it wouldn't take much to flip him.
