I honestly don't get why we need to cut out other era's. Somre people might want somebody who played back then and will not get who they wanted. I get that it's better to grade the teams by going for players you have seen, but this is an "all time" draft so the oldtimers should be included, also out of respect. So let's just keep it simple like they last time.

My main reason for wanting some restriction is just so it's not the exact same thing we did las year...just to make it a bit different.

I think we should keep it to NHL only though, it's just really hard to rate teams that stack up on talent from the European leagues and whatnot. Also is there a minimum games requirement for players? I think there should be. Oh and as for the 1967 thing, THN did a list of all the best players since 1967, but they didn't consider what they had done prior to expansion as part of the selection process. So since Harvey only played 1 year into expansion that should be the only year recorded. Maybe that makes things overly complicated, but I think NHL only works best imo.

^ Richard retired in 1960 though. Didn't we agree to only take post-expansion players?
Just think the draft would be heck of a lot more interesting if it differed from the last draft, especially since many of the posters are the same this time around.
At least that's what I'll be sticking to.

Decided to keep it the same as last time. If you want to stick with players from a certain time frame then you can go ahead. You're free to do whatever.

Not really.
Crosby will be seen as top 10 all time when he retires. this spot seems about right.

I figured he'd go late in the 1st round. Didn't expect for him to be taken now.

I contemplated taking Crosby at 8, but felt as good as he was over the first few years of his career, he has missed too many games so far to be taken top ten. Lindros dominated the game when he was healthy, but does he even go in the top 50?
