Seems like they're giving Jankowski every chance to earn a spot on the roster, or at minimum the main camp. Lets see if he can take advantage.

How does this compare to main camp? Do they cut down the roster significantly? Who is Jankowski competing with in terms of bubble players for the main camp? So many questions....

boy does Nurse take dumb penalties gets a 2 + 10 for crosschecking putting Sweden on a 5on 3 also took a penalty in the 1st that put Sweden on the 5 on 3

This year's WJCs could be a lot more exciting from a Flames perspective. Would certainly be more awesome watching Monahan center the top line than RNH..
Tbh last tourney I was more excited to watch Johnny Hockey light up the euro teams for USA. Even when he went and embarrassed Canada, part of me was thinking "damn, that was awesome."
Would be an extra treat if both Janks and Poirier made the team. To have all 3 on a line though? I'd be watching every minute.

Pretty ho hum period for the Flames Prospects... Sutter doesn't really use Janko or Poirier on the PK or PP so their TOI got severely cut down with all the penalties and power plays.
Monahan hit the post and got another SOG, but went 2/5 for FO.

Last I checked it is not required to have a player sit for a 10-min misconduct. Jankowski could have had to sit for Nurse's 2 minute minor penalty though since Nurse was going to have to stay in the box for 12.
