Kinda sad to see him go.
He was pretty rough when he started and I was one of his harshest critics. I thought Boomer could really rile him up to the point that the show was a write off.

He did step up his game significantly during Boomers suspension and I think he is better alone then with Boomer (Boomer prods him a lot). His interview skills have improved and he offers a different insight than most.

That being said, he was not going to displace Boomer, but it would have been interested to watach the rest of his career develop.

I agree with the above comment, pretty hard to follow up Mike Richards.

Best of Luck to him.

Ryan Pinder needs to get hired by Fan960 full time as a result of all the shuffling.

I enjoy the Boomer Walker tandem. I just hope they don't put Loobo on their full time. Cant stand him when he fills in.

Sad to see Walker go, I've always enjoyed him on the FAN. Hoping Pinder or someone replaces him in the morning.

Also, Leslie is garbage. I think the only thing this guy gets a kick out of is making fun of Pat Steinberg.

Would love if Jim Rome would return for the third hour, I can't stand this Hockey Central/Baseball central crap that plays at noon.

The Fan is definitely hard to listen to at the moment. The non-stop baseball talk is beyond dull, only to be interrupted by the one sport that is even more mind-numbingly boring to talk about...golf. Ugh. And everyone seems to be on vacation, so the guys are just talking to themselves half the time.

Can't wait till hockey starts back up!

All the best to Walker he is very knowledgable in all sports and should do well in the home of the Blue Jays.

Kinda sucks- I like Walker. He's pretty brutally honest and got way better at handling the trolls and haters (some of whom are probably posting). I liked that he tried to be the un-biased observer, except when it came to the Jays.

That said, the jewel of the Fan right now is Steinberg. Losing him would be very tough, in my opinion. Kid is an always positive and enthusiastic sports nerd, but somehow still comes across pretty humble and doesn't belittle callers at all. He's been carrying the afternoon co-hosts since Kerr left- maybe even before that.

After listening to the Fan960 for the last 5 years I still don't get Rome. I know he has a lot of "clones" but to me he sounds like a clown. Like some geeky guy at the office trying to convince everyone he is cool.
I was pumped when they cut him out with Hockey Central.

I liked Walker and the current morning show. Not much else worth listening to on the FAN, though the late guy with the weird voice is growing on me. Used to like Rome 7-8 years ago. He is mediocre now. Oh well.

He is very good at interviewing people, but outside of that I don't think he is all that entertaining.

This puts some big holes to fill at the Fan with them still looking for a colour guy for Peter Maher.

You have to think Boomer will be paired with Pinder or Leslie.

He got better at handling the trolls by becoming more of a troll himself, baiting the twitterverse who fall for his antics. I think it was a clever attempt to garner attention of any sort (ie. like the Toronto market that supports inflammatory radio personalities like McCowan). Looks like it paid off.

Walker had his good and bad moments on the morning show but you hit the nail on the head with the McCowan comparison. Now I think about it Walker could pass as his son as they both have that somewhat spoiled, negative persona.

I was listening to Prime Time Sports on Tuesday for the first time in forever and they were talking to the new owner of the Coyotes. McCowan was really horrible during the interview. No matter how many times Gosbee would say they weren't moving the team, Bob just kept trying to dig into him about it. It was really awkward to listen to.

Met Walket once. Nice guy. I'll be sad to have him gone. I like Pinder. He's funny and a good guy to boot. The fan has some work to do for sure.
