I went with Knight again:
I think Knight is a capable 3rd line center when the season starts
Wotherspoon I think is a #4 D man, PK specialist type, which are basically the equivalent in value.
However Wotherspoon is probably 2 years away from the show whereas Knight can step in almost immediately.
Sieloff I have behind Klimchuck as Sieloff has played one season of major junior and although he was semi effective he also missed a ton of the season due to a knee injury.
My next 5 is probably:
1) Knight
2) Wotherspoon
3) Klimchuck
4) Sieloff
5) Poirier
In a perfect world I would have Knight ranked at 5, Wotherspoon 6 and Jankowski right behind him.

He's not really a prospect in my books, but I went with Ramo.
High upside if he stays even remotely close to his KHL performance.

Wotherspoon > Sieloff. Sieloff gets more attention because of his big hits but Wotherspoon is a more solid all-around defenseman.

That site is absolute junk, but I believe that ranking was done before the draft.

that was the spring list.
Included the players added from the Iggy/Bouw trades but didn't include Monahan/Klimchuck/Poirier/Jooris or Knight.
I think it is safe to say the Flames will move into the top 15 if not top 10.

Reinhart for me. Solid player that could play on the 2-4th line center slots. Acquitted himself very well in his call up last year. Like his future and the flexibility he brings to the squad.

For the guys picking Knight, would you have been happy had the Flames traded one of Sieloff/Wotherspoon/Poirier/Klimchuk to acquire him?
I don't know how that could be justified.
Same goes for any of the Breen voters the last couple rounds.

Have to stick with Knight. NHL ready 2-way center that is good in the face off circle which is just what the Flames lack.

I think a lot of people don't realize that Knight is a pretty solid prospect. We can only hope the players you listed develope as well as Knight has.

Just like in round 5, I voted Sieloff again, but I think it's pretty close between him and Wotherspoon.

I am going Sieloff, Wotherspoon, Poirier, Knight,
Even though Knight is a 3rd line center I perfer the 3/4 defensive defensemen upside over 3rd line upside. Poirier ahead of Knight again on top 6 potential upside over likely 3rd line player.

Have to go with Knight again. He is the most NHL-ready prospect left on the list excluding Horak.

This is one where I actually had to start thinking.. went with Sieloff. I feel like his game is already very mature for his age, sound positioning and can pitch in when he needs to offensively. He makes the big hits, but doesn't put himself in a situation where someone has to cover for his moves.
He also shows better leadership qualities already than Wotherspoon.

It's very close. I wanted to go with Sieloff because of the 'wow' factor, but Wotherspoon does look to have more of a complete game.

The six to fifteen range is going to be a crap shoot. Went with knight last round, going with knight this round as well. The faceoff speciality he brings to the table for me supercedes the d prospects at this point in the rankings.
This is the best problem ever. Cannot beleive the depth of the pool when it's wide open between ranking numbers sic through fifteen or sixteen.

I think you do it if it fits an organizatonal need.
Wotherspoon and Sieloff fit Flames organizational needs, whereas Klimchuk and Poirier are about 3 years away from the NHL but have more high end potential.
In this case the Flames aren't really going to compete for 3 years so I would stay with the higher potential players (above average, top 6 forwards) then the guy who will step in in one year and be a above average 3rd line center/ below average 2nd line center.
So no I wouldn't make those trades, however I could easily see 2 of the three (Poirier/Jankow/Klimchuck) burning out (injury, lack of development, office distractions) before they make the NHL, wheras Knight is ready to walk onto the team this season.
I don't think it would be a stretch to make that trade for any of them, however I wouldn't do it based on the Flames current needs and the horizon of when they will be competitive.

Went with Wotherspoon, his ceiling is like Dan Hamhuis.
