IT'S FINALLY OVER, about bloody time. Now don't screw it up again, Arizona. (Or do, but at least you have five years.)

Eh whatever, it was a stupid decision to move them to Phoenix in the first place and this nonsense will be coming up several years from now again when they continue to hemorrhage money.

Good for the few hockey fans in Phoenix tho, all 6 of them.

Are they officially going to be called the Arizona Coyotes starting this season?

Great news! Too much public money was funneled into that team for far too long in the last years just trying to keep the team there. I hope this is the start of their turnaround into being a profitable franchise. Stable ownership is the most important aspect to a team, and I hope this ownership group has the will to win (which will attract more support over the years).

Seattle, Portland, Quebec, Hamilton and whatever other cities that have been rumored about acquiring an NHL franchise will eventually get one either through expansion or through failed markets elsewhere over the years. Really hoping they can make this a successful organization now - the taxpayers from Glendale deserve that.

So now that the had somewhat stable owners, I am assuming it will be a stampede down to the totes ticket office for folks to pick up thier season tix and mini peaks at full face value?

I put the over under at the first story about this new group losing more money than they thought at game 57 of the 2015-16 season.

I like it.

Serious question; how many of you go to Winnipeg to see Jets games?

I have easily a dozen friends that go to Coyotes games. Only negative is the flight cost.

How will this impact potential franchises in Seattle and Quebec City?

Maybe now I'll consider buying that Scottsdale vacation home I've been dreaming of.

Glendale is still funnelling money to the Coyotes to the tune of $15M per year in their arena lease deal although they may recoup some in other revenue streams.

It is tough to get tickets in Winnipeg. A few of my friends went to Phoenix, assuming they could get tickets when they were down there without any trouble. They were right. At a convenience store, there was a promotion, by a bag of chips and a Pepsi, get a free coyote ticket. They bought four.

They will. The fans in Arizona suck. They will be playing in front of a crowd of 4000 as per usual. But of course they will have 'announced' attendance of 16,000 because of all those free tickets you get with the purchase of a Taquito at the local 7-11.

Over to you, hockey fans of Phoenix. No more excuses, just show up in droves and support your team.

In case anybody cares, here's the press conference.

http://video.coyotes.nhl.com/videoce...ed-share-video

There was zero canadian media there, a big change from when media came down for council meetings and a WELCOME one at that!
