I don't miss him and I'm not a filthy liar. Just because some people have moved on does not make them liars.

It still feels weird thinking about the flames without Iginla, but I wish him the best in Boston.

Can't wait for December 10th .

I think the "idea" of losing Iginla hurt more then actually having him move on. Loved him on the Flames, but very happy with the new direction of the team.

Wish him the best though.

This team would have been in a lot better shape had he worked that hard on his backchecking the last few years

I don't wish hate on Iginla at all when I say this but he is a perimeter player who fears the corners and floats like a butterfly and........yeah just floats.

No doubt he still has game and will fit in better with the BRUINS than with the Pens But he will find himself sitting on the bench and or forth line just like Seguin if he doesn't contribute AND learn how to back check like crazy to complete Bostons already awesome lineup

And for the record I am not comparing the 2 at all before anybody decides to go completely rabid on me.

Boston needs Iginla to be the Iginla of old and nothing less but I just don't see it.

If he re invents himself and buys in and the Bruins stay healthy GO Bruins GO.

So he's only going to be in Boston for one season. He's becoming a vagabond like Jagr. This is a big season for him if he wants anything better than a one year contract with some also ran where he becomes trade deadline fodder.

He hopes to be in Boston longer then one year.

And similar to Recchi, Iginla has his sights on being in Boston longer than just 2013-14.

"I know that’s getting ahead, but it’s something [where] you want to find a home, too," said the forward, with his contagious smile, as he took in the cool air of his training rink in British Columbia. "I'm excited."

"When the contract came, I knew the Bruins had Horton leaving and I wasn’t sure if they would still be interested. I’d understand why, if not, when I didn’t go there at the deadline," he added.

"I was thrilled when there was an opportunity and I know they’re tight against the cap and all the top teams are, especially with the cap going down this year. There was an opportunity, I was very thankful for it to have another chance to go there."

"[You can] call it a cap friendly [deal], but hopefully it’s one that works out and the team’s happy and my family and I love playing there and, hopefully, it can go longer."

As it stands I can't see it. His $4.2M bonus money will be deferred until next season and that will take care of Savard's injury status money. They only have 15 players signed for 14/15 with $7M room to sign the rest. Deals can be made and the cap will go up but right now it doesn't look good for Iginla to be re-signed and this doesn't take into consideration his level of play. Will Boston want him and will Iginla play for less money?

That is under the assumption he reached the bonuses too, plus the cap will increase substantially

I mentioned the cap going up. He only has to play 10 games to get the $3.7M bonus. So it's not really a matter of games played but just a way to play with the cap. Not sure how many goals he needs to score for another $.5M, but it's a pretty safe assumption $3.7M will carry over.
