Yeah, he meant with the Cannons. Those were some great years to be the farm team for those loaded Mariner teams from the 90s.

Getting to meet and get Randy Johnson's autograph on the Ctrain shortly after he was traded from Montreal is a prize posession.

What an awesome comeback by the Redsox, down 7-2 to come back and win in the 9th!

The words awesome and Red Sox don't belong together. I can't believe the Seattle bullpen could let me down this much!

Best part about having a baby is I now have an excuse to watch baseball every night. Bad part about having a baby is I can't go on the interleague dodger Arizona trip also no last minute trips to Florida if rays make the world series

Lucky for you, this bullpen will be equally generous when the Rays visit Safeco in September.

I feel bad for Hernandez who pitched another gem tonight WITH 7 runs. He looks as good as his Cy Young year from a couple of years back and must be wondering why he re-signed.

Most devastating loss this season.

I doubt he is wondering why he re-signed. If I recall he said he loved the city and the fans and doesn't want to play baseball anywhere else but Seattle. It is a shame they can't get a team around him.

I'm being facetious regarding Felix of course but last night felt like a defining game for the season. That is his second no decision in a row despite being dominant. He can still hit the 20 win mark but that window is closing fast and with it, his chance for a Cy Young.

Last night reminded me of a game a few years back at Fenway on Patriot's day when Ortiz(?) hit a walk off HR. The Mariners went into a tailspin and never recovered the rest of season. And that was when they were good.

Hopefully I'm wrong and they're more resilient but that was as bad a loss as I can remember...a real gut puncher.

Felix proved before he doesn't need to have 20 wins to win the cy. With Scherzer slowing down and Colon being suspended in the near future if Felix keeps his ERA down he will win again.

I know what you mean about the gut punch. Going into the 9th I had a nice grin on my face that Boston was about to lose and bam 5 runs and a walk off win. We all know Felix can bounce back from pitching a gem of a game and losing so I wouldn't worry to much for his next start. Plus it is against the jays surely the bullpen can't blow that one.

I actually really like what Seattle is building with Zunino, Franklin, and Miller. Their top of the order should be set for a long time. However the middle to bottom portion leaves a lot to be desired.

Staff has a very bright future as well.

I think Scherzer takes it. He's had a remarkable season, and statistically aside from ERA he's close to equal or better in most statistical categories.

Fredi González is the greatest manager to ever manage in baseball, lets give Heyward a day off on Saturday and he's a major reason for your 8 game winning streak. Good chance your winning streak is over after tonight's game in Philadelphia.

Yeah a meaningless 9. game win streak is more important than a win in October. Nobody is threatening the Braves right now. Why not start strategically resting guys now?

You have to give your regulars days off, especially in the dog days of the season. It's good to get them a mental refresh and they tend to play better a day off. The Braves have a big lead in the division and they are only playing the Phillies. For a contending team, one guy shouldn't make that much of a difference. In the first three games of the Cubs series, the Dodgers have rested every regular on the team at least one game except for Puig. It also gives more playing time to the bench players which makes them feel more part of the team.
