I know a lot of people have asked me about this and I never had a concrete answer so I wanted to share the news with CP.

I have spoke with and met with quite a few of you over my years of traveling to and from Calgary and setting up the CP Christmas Shinny. There are a ton of very helpful people on CP whom have assisted me with my moving questions and information. I wanted to say "thanks" to all of you who have given me advice and helped me with this move etc.
calgary is a cool place, full of good stuff..enjoy it.

No one is quite sure exactly when our provincial odometer will tick over, but some time in the next few weeks and months there will be four million people living in this province.

They do if you ask them if they've been to the Stampede yet.

I kid, I kid. How soon do you get to follow the U-haul? Because you're not coming up right away, right? Or did I misunderstand?

Amen to this. Calgarians / Canadians like to whine about 'traffic' and 'crime' but need to experience this in other parts of the world before they flap their gums.... Crime / Traffic in LA would be a good start. Johannesburg / Nuevo Laredo might be the next for crime.

Too bad. You could have arrived like a Johnny Cash song. Probably a good thing, that song doesn't end well.

He sang a song as on he rode
His guns hung at his hips
He rode into a cattle town
A smile upon his lips
He stopped and walked into a bar
And laid his money down
But his mother's words echoed again

[Chorus]
Don't take your guns to town son
Leave your guns at home nickerjones
Don't take your guns to town

Internet is internet but good god I can't imagine ever going from Optik back to Shaw TV again. It'd be like going to Windows Vista from Windows 7.

I don't know how soon... Your country's immigration services needs to get their act together and stop being on strike. I mean look at America , people just walk over from Mexico and start working. Why can't I just say " Hey Canada, I married one of you, I would like to come over and be a productive working member of Canadian society"? Seems ridiculous that I could have to wait over a year to come live with my spouse of 6 years while working to pay bills and such.

That's OK. Calgary is just like Texas, but just a little less anti-American

I'd love to know how a "senior architect" who works for a "govemenert railway" is able to post from work at 11am in Shangai from work - pretty sure that's not something that happens in "China" where you "live" .

This guy is using a hidden proxy to post - hence the odd HTML above -he's going through a browser based proxy to hide his posts.

This is one effed up troll - a lot of work to use a chinese proxy to troll here...

I think other than Oil , Calgary is nothing like Texas. Texas has GREAT BBQ , GREAT mexican food, and everyone carries guns. Although Im betting if SAIT or U of C put together a football team next week they could compete with the Longhorns this year.
