I fully believe every pgt would refer to Brodie as "The Jesus" from here on out, if TJ or TJB wasn't so much easier. Right now, he is our Paul Coffey.

I'm going to refer to him as Tom Jim from now on.

Should we get a "bratface" chant going next season?

Great deal. Love the term and my dream is that 2 years from now, Brodie signs for a nice 8 year 5mil+ contract because he EARNED it. Flames seem to be one of the few teams in the league recently who are actually signing RFAs to decent bridge contracts.
Well done Feaster.

Great news.
I love how Brodie played last season and the confidence he showed wiht additional minutes.
If there's one area I would love to see him improve it's offensively. I feel he just hesitates to shoot too much, and by the time he gets the shot off, the lane's no longer available.
Can't wait to see him develop even further and become a permanent fixture in the top4 for the flames.

Pretty good dollar amount and term for the team. Would have to think someone would have been willing to part with a 2nd round pick to get him, so to sign him for that dollar amount is encouraging. Certainly hope that his next contract has fans panicing for how are we going to pay Brodie because he'll be inline for a huge raise.

Legal background is all about deal-making, hence when signing a deal this plays a huge part in it.

Maybe Phanuthier didn't realize that Feaster is a lawyer. Its not like everybody has been commenting for years about how Feaster is a lawyer and not a hockey guy....
I'm thrilled with this signing. It gives the Flames solid flexibility and it gives Brodie the ability to prove himself and earn the huge contract. I really hope that Brodie shapes up to become one of the future leaders of this team.

Did that legal background help Marc Bergevin sign PK Subban for the same contract?
How about Stan Bowman signing Nick Leddy?
Don't get me wrong, its a good signing. I just have to wonder how people think these things go down where the legal background is the key to the signing here. Now if it was his wizardry at interpreting loopholes in the CBA, then sure.

I think Brodie should be 1st in line for an A this season, and possibly a C in the near future if he continues to progress. Assuming no more moves:
C - Giordano
A - Glencross
A - Brodie
And please not different A's whether we're home or away, not a fan.

I rather they just let Brodie concentrate on his game this year and next. His time will come for a letter.

Agreed. As long as he signs another contract with the Flames, he'll likely be a huge part of the core and have a letter. No need to put that kind of pressure on him this early in his career.
