What an ugly football game. Montreal is brutal as well

I am still puzzled on what does the Eskimos' managements sees in Kavis Reed to warrant a contract extension. The guy does not have a clue on what to do. He's been doing that crap about changing his QBs during the game it doesn't matter what the score was. I even remembered his move about switching kicker against the Stamps one game. I believed it was Derek Schiavone or whatever his name is. He was doing well doing field goal and Reed put in Shaw I believed on. He did the same thing with the Running backs...
Oh yeah..i just cannot stand his speech.

Kavis Reed was on 630 Ched last night and he said he was trying to use psychology & to motivate Mike Reilly by yanking him from the game in Montreal.
What a dumb rule, Hamilton tried to pluck Isi Sofele off BC's practice roster to replace the injured Lindsey Lamar. BC isn't happy about that because that forced them to place him onto the 46 man roster for Week 5 and not week 6 as it would be for Hamilton acquiring him. It wouldn't been the case had BC played on the weekend.

Kirby Fabien to the hospital with a knee injury. His left knee was heavily iced. BC expect him to travel home with them on Wednesday. Hope its nothing serious as that could be a big loss for them.

Geez, Collaros looks great tonight (just threw his 3rd TD of the game). The future of the CFL looks very good at the QB position.

IMO BC is no where near as good as people are making them out to be, Toronto isn't as bad as people are making them out to be.
Winnipeg and Edmonton now that's a different story as they are both terrible teams. Might be the worst two in the whole league.

Toronto beat BC up tonight. BC also had no discipline.
BC's O-Line is a mess, losing Fabien certainly doesn't help.

Love that other young QB like Collaros, Drew Willy(ugh!) this week after Bo Levi break out game. I don't want Ottawa to focus on Calgary QBs.
I watched Toronto game vs BC and as very impressed with Collaros. The guy can run and scramble. He looks like he can throw also.

Kirby Fabien likely done for the season with three torn knee ligaments
Quote:
Trainer Bill Reichelt said Fabien had torn three knee ligaments and held out very little hope the 21-year-old will continue his rookie season. It was clear that the first-half injury, suffered when Fabien was belted after Travis Lulay threw an interception, left the Lions in an emotional hole.

"Sickening, just sickening. It was like a mental flash," defensive back Ryan Phillips said, recalling the Franks injury. "(Fabien) has such a big future. He was just maturing. For it to happen to him this early in the season, it sucks."

"I try to participate in meetings just so that complacency doesn’t creep in. You have to. You can’t just put your feet up," Valli said. "I can’t even put into words what I’m feeling for that kid now. It happened to me last year and it almost ended my career. At least he’s 21 years old."

That really sucks for Fabien. Hopefully he can rehab it to 100% and it won't derail his career

Allouettes have fired thier head coach, as per fan 960 this morning...guess 2-3 is not a good start, but not horrible. the new guy just couldn't figure out the canadian game probably. Popp (the gm) will coach in the interim

Montreal was so poorly coached this season that this change needed to happen. There's no excuse for such a veteran group to be so unprepared for each game.

When Dan Hawkins was at Boise State he was one of the most highly thought of coaches in college football. Then he left and his career has been a disaster since.

CFLPA asks for judicial review of Williams decision
Quote:
The CFL player's association has asked for a judicial review of the arbritrators decision upholding the contract of the Ticats' Chris Williams - virtually guaranteeing that the disgruntled receiver and return man won't wear a Hamilton uniform this season.
Independent arbitrator E.E. Palmer ruled in June that the contract between Williams and the club was valid, while also finding the Ticats breached the CBA by negotiating with an unregistered agent. Palmer stated that the penalty for such a breach is a fine, however, not a termination of the contract, as Williams and the CFL Players’ Association had requested.
The CFLPA has now asked that a court review that decision, a process that could take months and will likely extend well beyond the end of the current CFL season.
"The CFLPA's position is that CFL Clubs who negotiate with unregistered agents are at a distinct advantage inthose discussions, and are depriving the CFL Player involved, regardless of who the player is, of his right to berepresented by an agent who is familiar with the normal protocol of CFL Standard Player Contracts," the organization said in a release announcing the decision to appeal. "Innegotiating a player's rookie contract it is especially critical that CFL Clubs ensure that they are dealing with aregistered agent as required by the CBA to ensure that the player's rights are protected and that a finalcontract is in the player's best interests."
