You're basically limited to a Chinese restaurant until your English is sorted out. People are not easy to understand and even if you do well with it and you're making 1 error per table, you're going to not to last very long.
Not to mention that us bigoted westerners want to talk to your kind until you learn English, seeing as how yer terkin our jerbs as it is.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
Hell...you were working a $65K/yr serving job? Why even bother with University?
You've obviously never worked in a restaurant. It's unsustainable: awful hours, bizarre drug-addicted co-workers, constant disrespect, zero worker's rights, etc..
Yes. Take-home. Net of tax other than tips, which, I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess he never claimed.

I have worked at restaurants, several of them, all for significantly, laughably less than that!

The sad thing is, male waiters are almost universally better at their jobs. Maybe it's because they realize they have to earn their tips with friendly, knowledgeable efficient service rather than simply showing up to work in something low cut.

It's unsustainable. And no, I don't overstate how good it was. I used to keep records in case I needed them.
The hours are crazy, can't have a normal life, can't have a family, or accomplish anything more than being a really good server in that lifestyle.
Well, let's consider this. The average number of workdays in a full month (assuming full time work) is about 21. That means, post tax, you need to earn about 145 per day. Assuming consistent 8 hour work days, that's 17.45 dollars per hour.
The minimum wage in Alberta is $9.05 per hour if your establishment sells alcoholic beverages. That means the rest, assuming absolutely no tax, is $8.40 per hour in tips. This doesn't seem likely in my mind.
Which lists the mean take home as about $9.75/hour. Even a couple years out of date, that seems like bit of a stretch to make $17.45/hour.
Increasing the number of hours worked per week may alter this slightly, but not enough. Even if you work 10 hour days, that's still ~$14/hour.
I get within range of that number if I plug in all days of a month as work days plus working 10 hour days ($10/hour)
I worked at Denny's for about 2 years. I kept strict track of my tips and my average tip/hour over that time was $13. Add that to the $8.90 min wage at the time and bam, over 3k/month take home only working 36hours/week.
I'm a dude and wasn't even that friendly. Just got people's orders quick and right. It really isn't that hard to make 3+k. My brother worked the same job and is a lot friendlier guy, his average was over $16/hour in just tips.
Who cares? If you're serious about coming to Canada you need to lose the cultural baggage.

especially EAST Asian ..stupid social stratum influences the society
makes the ppl steely
too stupid ...i always wonder why i was born in this kinda society

You're going to have to drop the arrogance about the perceived understanding you think you have of western culture and society. Even if you think you know, you're wrong. You need to start approaching your attitude with a little more humbleness, or you're going to have a very, very big shock when you get here.
The differences between East and West China, rural and urban, ect. ect. has no bearing to what culture is in North America.
